Key part of bedding in is the heat generated to better transfer some pad material onto rotors. Just “riding along” will not work as well as the short interval, harder braking used in pad bedding process (as opposed to bedding your wife, girlfriend)!

Myself and few ithees in ride group are using new, updated RaceFace Ambush Knee guards… they work and wear well, only caveat is sizing runs small, I wear large in other brands but XL in RaceFace. Love the protection with convenience of putting on quickly with no shoe removal...

Id suggest looking into the new, completely revised DVO Onyx 38 D1. Ive know the DVO folks since their Marzocchi days and their dedication to innovative engineering is impressive. The new Onyx is designed around e-bike needs and from new reviews it sounds like a standout.

Best headset I’ve seen are Cane Creek “Hell Bender” series, which is an upgrade to their excellent 40 series that many high-end bikes like Santa Cruz use stock. My riding group use these with great results and durability.

Additional advice, wait about 30 days for new paint to cure, then get ahold of Invisiframe (I think they're British) and wrap your bike.

You can usually get the paint color/finish info from the bike manufacturer (not most bike shops) and take that info to local automotive paint dealer to get a pint or so of suitable product, I did this with Santa Cruz couple years back. I recommend checking out some auto finishers for...

Urgent care Doc thought I may have broken hip but apparently the D30 hip/thigh armor in shorts spread the impact (I just happened to pick that chamois for day) and I just have deep bruising and swelling… wife said I now have a “Kardashian size” hip!

Those mid-trail obstacles can cause havoc with pedal strikes. Although I was in n gnarly trail I missed an anchored boulder, but my pedal didn’t… bike came to dead stop and rider flew like Superman, however I didn’t stick the landing!

Lol, one notorious, now former New Yorker certainly doesn’t!

If it was me I’d get the bigger capacity then, avoid any battery anxiety if I wanted to make another loop or faster climb.

Just curious what is the weight difference between the two battery sizes? I imagine like any bike if it’s 2-3 lbs its not a significant effect on your bike’s handling characteristics whereas if it’s more like 5+ you'd notice it.
