Trek rail 9.7 has been nothing but broken chains/cassettes for duration of ownership

Sorry for deviating a little from the subject of this thread, but can I ask what happens when the chain snaps? Did you get injured?

    Hi from Moscow Russia

I will not be deleting my post. Accommodating Russia/Russians today is like accommodating Nazi Germany during the 1936 Olympics.

    Hi from Moscow Russia

I don't welcome him. Russia and Russians should be banned from this forum for the genocide and murder they are committing in Ukraine.

    Electrified in Israel

Sorry, one other question... Is it possible to ride along the coast, say for example, between Herziliya and Tel-Aviv?

    Electrified in Israel

Can you ride on the road in Israel? When I visited, I don't recall seeing bike lanes; but maybe there are some now. And in Israel, they drive cars like in other Mediteranean countries (ie., like maniacs :)).

Anyone know what this is? I'm sure someone does :)

Thanks so much for your answer. I think you are right - it's a Bosch lock ring. Why would I be given this as an extra? The bike was already assembled when I picked it up. Is it supposed to be for future use if I need to mount another chain ring? (I apologize, I guess it would be easier to just...

Anyone know what this is? I'm sure someone does :)

I just picked up a Trek Powerfly FS 7 2019. In the "extras" bag that came with the bike, is this circular shaped thing (see attached photo). "Bosch" and "20-25 Nm" are written on it. What is this? The lady at the cash said "it is just an extra" - but what it is it? Thanks!! (The bike's motor...

Here are my (novice) opinions on Trek vs Merida vs Specialised vs Giant, after testing each of them out.

No, 2 otherwise equal bikes do not necessarily have the same motor.

Here are my (novice) opinions on Trek vs Merida vs Specialised vs Giant, after testing each of them out.

2 otherwise equal bikes - I would choose the one with the less noisier motor.

Here are my (novice) opinions on Trek vs Merida vs Specialised vs Giant, after testing each of them out.

Thanks for your input! As for the video - I find it hard to tell how loud a motor is from videos. Different videos on the same bike or same motor more often than not show very different noise levels.

Could you guys tell me how the noise from the Yamaha motor compares to the others, ie Shimano and Bosche?

    Hi from Norway!

According to a post by eFat in another thread (post 127, bottom page 5): Hello all, so I have two EMTBs in the shop 'basket'...but I can only have one...arrgghhh... - EMTB Forums "You just have to unlock it with a key to remove the battery, so it's easy... but the cover comes with it...

    Hi from Norway!

Is there a button on the handlebar to change modes (ie, eco, trail, boost); or is it necessary to reach down unto the battery, like the old Turbo Levo (year 2017 I believe)?

    Hi from Norway!

Where did you see the 2019 colors; online? If yes, could you please provide a link?

Hello all, so I have two EMTBs in the shop 'basket'...but I can only have one...arrgghhh...

Thanks for your input. I have heard that before - one should not choose a bike based on the motor.

Hello all, so I have two EMTBs in the shop 'basket'...but I can only have one...arrgghhh...

Thanks for your interesting comments! I may in the end go with a Devinci DC.

Hello all, so I have two EMTBs in the shop 'basket'...but I can only have one...arrgghhh...

Nearby bike shops offer both Devinci and Specialized. Unfortunately, can't find these e-bikes in shop - need to order. Devinci AC XT seems equivalent to the Kenevo, apparently better fork and shock, better dropper post (that is non-tilting), has a display, and about $2500 CAN cheaper than the...
