I am thinking where the most gain in terms of cost/return is when it comes to better efficiency or range. Is it regen brakes, higher voltage systems or is it better motor or battery technology?
I think the rate of which batteries are improving, far outperforms any other initiatives. If you can...
I tested this bike about a year ago. It had regen brakes. First part of the pull of the rear brake lever was purely motor braking, then the disc brake kicked in. Worked pretty well, but I don't think there was a lot of power going back to the battery.
Congrats to a great bike! I tested one a few months ago (Neo 2) and it is a really sorted bike that I for some reason rarely see in media or in the wild.
Hi!
I'm Olof and I live in Gothenburg (and Costa Blanca until recently). I test a lot of eBikes and thought I'd come to this place to learn more and share what I have learned.
Cheers!
I have tested the new Merida and sure, there are better bikes with longer chainstays e t c for climbing. It climbes well enough for me, it is not a deal breaker in any way. But we're all different, so testing a bike is always a good thing, especially when it costs that much.
Lovely! I lived in Orihuela Costa for a few years, but had to move back to Sweden this summer due to Corona (business closed).
PS. My profile picture is from Fenasosa Bike Park, about 45 min from Alicante.
