    Unanswered Best E-bike saddle?

The spoon is a great saddle, I've switched to ergon though. Perhaps my sizing requirements have changed ?

I'd definitely give it a go, should I bring armour?

TBH, if you're used to crashing motorbikes at 150mph, maybe motorbikes are not for you...

Nah, just watched the video again, if you're learning on that terrain, armour up. Those rocks are not going to play nice if you stuff it up.

If you're riding rocky terrain like the OP was, armour is quite a good idea while you're learning new lines.

It's best to build up to features you find difficult, you don't bounce as well as you did 30yrs ago! Decent pads and a full face helmet give me a bit more confidence when I'm pushing it, although I've not done anything remotely close to my limit in the last year. It also helps if you've seen...

Answered What strength of IPA do you use on brake pads / rotors?

It does look like an awful alcopop, but buy a can/bottle and try it. I haven''t met anyone that didn't like it after trying it!

Answered Shimano Zee - Caliper seal blown.

Hahaha, I'm not into research projects! I like things to be repairable and don't really think brakes calipers should be disposable. What are Sram like? can they be rebuilt or am I stuck with Hope. TBH I've always lusted after some Hope brakes, they do look quite sexy!

Answered Shimano Zee - Caliper seal blown.

Block was in OK. It's the seal. I've managed to get a secondhand Saint caliper from a mechanic in a bike shop so I can at least get out whilst I'm in Spain. Bit annoyed with myself for not researching the zee, as I'd would not have bought it looking at the reviews and problems. Also find it...

    Answered Vans

I reckon a connect would make a great bike van. I looked at them briefly when looking for a van to convert into a camper. A little too small for that use!

Nope, bleed block in. The pistons were fully retracted.

Nope, just the little allen bolt where the bleed cup/bowl screws in. I've bled Shimano brakes a few times before successfully, was just canvassing opinion in the caliper leaking before whinge to CRC about the brand new Zee failing.

Answered Shimano Zee - Caliper seal blown.

Hi Y'all, I was bleeding my front brake, pushed the fluid through into the bleed cup and all seemed OK (bubbles stopped etc). After nipping up the bleed nipple and replacing the cap in the lever, the brake felt spongy. I pumped it a bit and then the lever lost all resistance and the caliper...

Unanswered To drop or not to drop, that is the question

Or, hope my motor lasts... I think that if you don't find a dropper useful, you're not really riding proper trails. I'm pretty late to MTBs and I remember seeing MTBs in shops with droppers and didn't get it. I did some bikepacking on a old hardtail without a dropper and enjoyed it so much I...

    Answered Snowdon?

It's not a ban, just restricted times, which is entirely sensible. I wouldn't want to be a walker with bikes hurtling past! From mbwales.com: "Snowdon Voluntary Cycling Agreement To avoid incidents during busy times and for everybody’s enjoyment, please follow the Snowdon Voluntary Cycle...
