I think this is total BS. I am going to ask for some compensation on this from Trek that is for sure. And looking at the "speed" they are (NOT) solving the issue, this could easily be weeks and weeks until it is solved, which in my case, riding 200-250 kms every week could be a few thousand...
I have the same issue on my brand new Rail 9.8.
Once this is fixed, can they correct the milage in the motor? Because I am too, like most of us, very frustrated about running the bike 2X the milage and a crucial effect on resale costs.

When you charge your bikes through the charging port, does your system/Kiox switches off when full charge reached? I remember that mine did eventually shut off.

Sure it is. But as I said, you can put in a screw so it is held by a screw thereafter. I did the same thing when I bought the bike so I don't run the risk of loosing the thing.
