Chain guide with lower guard for EP8

Does anyone do a chain guide with bash guard (like this - guard ) that fits the EP8 motor. It says on the specs of my Marin that it is ISCG compatible, but it seems that's not the case and it needs to be a special 'Shimano spec'. Can't seem to find anything listed anywhere. Thanks in advance!

How much power do I need?

I've been riding a E8000 based emtb for the last few years and am thinking of getting a new bike. Ideally I'd like one of the new lighter bikes, but don't really want to have less power than I have at the moment (probably a common request!) The graph below I got from this article - e-MTB and...

Answered DI2 rear derailleur causes E8000 to switch off

I have a 2018 Merida e160 with the e8000 motor and Di2 shifting. This morning a problem developed where pressing the up or down shift lever caused the power (motor, battery, display - everything) to switch off completely. It all switched back on OK, but as soon as I hit the shift lever (up or...

Unanswered Suspension tuning - suss my bike

I recently purchased a suss my bike (SMB) device to try and tune my suspension. Whilst I've got a reasonable understanding of what high /low rebound and compression do, I'm not so good at feeling it - so I've always tended to just use the manufacturer's baseline settings and leave it at that...

    E160 - 2.8s too flimsy?

I'm running 18/20psi in the standard Maxxis Minion 2.8 tyres (tubeless). I'm about 85KG kitted up. Over the last few months I've had several punctures, and have ended up with a few tyres that now can't run tubeless because the sidewall is split right on the bead line. I thought the idea of...

Time for an upgrade - but to what?

I've currently got a 2018 Merida E160 900 which I've had for 18 months now and am thinking it might be time for an upgrade. However, I'm not sure what I actually want. The Merida is pretty well specced and handles the local trails (Sydney's Northern Beaches) pretty well - I don't feel that it's...
