I tried using auto and it seems it doesn’t improve mileage as I thought but gave it another shot and ended finishing the ride in ECO. This was without my extender and finished the ride with one red amber bar.
Nothing compares to EMBT yet. Also it’s not one below full power it is adjusting all the time. I miss my EMBT also.
The Auto on the giant isn’t there yet but hopefully they get it figured out and send an update.
I use level 3 active mostly and level 2 on the flats. Nothing I can’t climb in...
I weigh 180 lbs ish down from 195 winter weight LOL. I think you would be fine as long as you keep the cadence up. The motor likes to spin but does make low end power when climbing technical trails which I enjoy.
Just did 16 miles with 2700 plus of elevation and had 30% left.
I added the...
Added one up 35mm ebars and adding another ergo 3 switch. My question is has anyone added a switch yet ? Are the wires in the ride control panel ? Did you do it without disconnecting the battery?
I am not losing sensor connection. You maybe correct about the bike being the problem. I am going to take the bike in and have them verify the problem. I think the dash maybe extra weight if it doesn’t work
Have you figured out the dash as I am having the same issue ? My distance is way off but the speed is close because I feel the motor stop assisting @ 20ish.
After you register the bike they should contact you with a code. I had to have the selling shop contact the rep to get the code sent to me by email. It showed up quickly also had it sent to the shop in order to get free shipping.
Yes it is quiet and but it still makes noise
Motor noise has never been an issue for me coming Bosch. But compare it to a bafang and yes it is quiet.
You hear it more under load climbing for sure.
No I have been tweaking the settings.
Will look and report back so it’s documented. I know there is more distance there if I willing to go slower. The bike has a lot of power there on tap the trick is how to use it and not kill the battery. I may factory reset the bike and try using active...
I did 17 miles today with 1900 ft of elevation. I was mostly in tour the whole time. I had 27% battery left and it was above 90 degrees. The giant app keeps disconnecting from the bike it maybe the phone going to sleep.
I am not sure about it feeling front heavy when descending but I really haven’t been down any chutes yet or steep downhills . I have one ride in. But my back feels better with a rise bar normally.
The spokes are saprim which are butted spokes.
I am still adjusting to the bike myself
It will take sometime to learn what works. But you thought process is correct. The more you do the less the bike does which would extend the range.
