What did you buy your ebike this week?

Thanks ... had it installed at a reputable shop. It replaced the reinforcement beam and they gave me the old one. This is the hitch (2014-2024 Porsche Macan & Macan S / 2022-2024 Porsche Macan GTS / 2014-2022 Porsche Macan Turbo / 2023-2024 Porsche Macan T) and there's no way to really install...

What did you buy your ebike this week?

Bought it a new car .... well, sort of. Wanted a vehicle I could put a hitch rack on so I wouldn't have to use my wife's car (where I am not allowed to adjust the mirrors or seat when I drive it). More importantly, bought a Stealth Hitch tow bar. Completely hidden when the receiver is removed.

    Wanted Garmin eBike Remote

If anyone has one of these kicking around and wants to sell it, let me know. There's none to be found anywhere in Canada for sale. It's not for my EMTB but another e-bike application. https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/545795/pn/010-12094-30

    Already done ... Thoughts on non-MTB e-bike

Nice bike ... Cairn's not available in Canada (neither is Ribble nor are Canyon ebikes).

    Thoughts on non-MTB e-bike

Just thought I'd close the loop on this. With GT going down, a local LBS had some fantastic deals to be had on GT bikes. They had the eGrade Bolt for $3100 (CAD) and the eGrade Current for $2375. While I would have probably preferred the Bolt for the GRX groupset, all they had left was L and XL...

    Thoughts on non-MTB e-bike

Yep .. 12mm. I suspect I am being conservative but an extra couple of hundred dollars isn't going to be the deal killer on what bike I buy. Availability (especially outside of Trek/Specialized) is going to be more of an issue.

    Thoughts on non-MTB e-bike

Kind of hate the aesthetics of a battery pack on the downtube or seatpost tube but it also wouldn't qualify for the free money from my employer and I get walking away from free money:D

Looks like a nice bike. Cairn doesn't sell to Canada and they're out of stock as well ... unfortunately.

    Thoughts on non-MTB e-bike

I did look at Ribble and the Gravel ALe looks like it would be an option but they don't ship it to Canada.

    Thoughts on non-MTB e-bike

Thanks @mike_kelly ... I can eventually wear down price resistance from my wife (I was able to get her on board with buying the Fuel EXe after all). It's more about finding the bike I want from a non-US brand within the price range I'm actually comfortable with. I will use it less than the E-MTB...

Interesting ... think that would limit my choices a bit more though.

    Thoughts on non-MTB e-bike

@BikeBert like the clip. I think that's more of a full power e-bike than I was looking for. Really trying to keep the dynamics of my current acoustic but with some assist which is why I was looking at the Vibe. Why belt drive specifically?

    Thoughts on non-MTB e-bike

Still acoustic for my urban/city/commuting ride, but my employer is coming out with an e-bike rebate program and I already have some wellness benefits that I can use towards an e-bike. In total, about $625 available. I currently ride a Trek fitness bike (2018 FX Sport 4). My commute to work...

Fuel EXe Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

I don't mind the dropper but the remote for it was purely awful. Swapped it out for a OneUp remote.

    LETS SEE YOUR RIDE FOOTAGE

Ned's Atomic Dustbin on Mt. Seymour on the North Shore ... this is an old classic that's been recently updated. Probably best described as janky flow. Shoulder's still a bit messed up from a crash a few weeks ago so the riding itself is what it is. ps. I did do a version with a bit of an...

What did you buy your ebike this week?

New helmet. Now that I've gone back to full face, my super air is just too hot. All the reviews and comments say the proframe will be a lot cooler. Proframe RS ... Not thrilled with the pink accents, but in stock helmets for 20% off at one of the lbs near me and not worth the extra money to not...

    LETS SEE YOUR RIDE FOOTAGE

Definitely ... we did have better grip on some of the black stuff we rode because it's jankier and have a bit of slab (Squamish slabs have pretty good grip) but the flow trails (we also rode Half-Nelson) made us work for traction.

    LETS SEE YOUR RIDE FOOTAGE

Had a bit of a nasty off a few weeks or so ago at a place called the Woodlot and that convinced me to put the chin bar onto my helmet and go full-face. The upside is that I can chin mount my camera and get the best mounting position I've used. This is a Squamish blue flow trail in the Diamond...

    Oakley Prism Trail

Thanks ... while I think I would prefer the Torch, this validates the decision to keep some cash in my pocket. I don't mind spending for good glasses (have Maui Jim polarized for driving, Ray-Ban polarized for casual wearing and Nike polarized for general activities), I definitely scratch MTB...
