So i fancied having a bike to cover a few more miles and to supplement my ebike.
Could be a midlife crisis at 62 but I always rode enduro bikes as a kid and just fancy a bit of soft off-roading.
So I’ve spent a number of hours looking at helmets and reading forums.
Makes me wonder just how many on here use a full face for every day riding?
I don’t, but I have a really good open face mips helmet which gets used every ride.
I’ve never questioned using a full face in the past thinking...

Had rear brake issues on my Whyte 160, awful squeal and vibration trough bike.
Had a look and the disc looked black like it had been subject to extreme heat, its only done a few hundred miles.
Anyway cleaned it all off and did a test ride, no noise but after 20 miles the disc is looking...
It’s quite interesting if you look at ebike milage in middle age, my mtb milage decreased due to disc injury but with the aid of my Jam2 I’m on target to smash all yearly records even with time off the bike recovering, without it my fitness and overall health could have been decreasing.
My bike had a bit of a creak and while investigating the seat post screw snapped despite being torqued, might be worth a check of your bikes it looks like a cheapo one.
