Yep I have race in eDuro and eXC races, haven't try eDH yet. eDuro race tracks are always fun, but eXC is funner as you get the mass starts and way more racing action with other racers. Just wish the eXC tracks had a little more tech added to them😁
On my Marin Alpine E-1 every 800 miles I remove the battery from the downtube, wipe down the battery and the downtube compartment electronics cleaner, spray connection cleaner on the battery connection points and the battery mounts. A lot of times battery errors are related to dirt and moister...
How long (Time) is the ride on your XTC hardtail vs the eMTB for the loop you mention?
I bet that if you did the loop in half the time on your eMTB in ECO, your HR would have been about the same as on you XTC hardtail.
Sold my last aMTB about 3 years ago, now I have 3 eMTBs. Husky MC-5 for All-Mtn riding, Marin Trail-e1 for the bike parks and a Polygon T6e that is my Single-Speeder for the local trails.
Here the link PearTune MSO Tuning elektrokola Shimano EP8 |Pear Control
The diagram on the website is of a E8000 motor, but they will send you the diagram of a EP8 motor with the module.
I have been using the PearTune module on my EP6 motor for about 200 miles now with no error msgs, once I get to 500 miles I will say it's works. With that said the EP8/EP6 are the same motor/firmware tune from what I have read, just cover material is different. EP801 has different firmware tune...
I am 62, stilling working, so I need a way to release the stress from work. After work I jump on the eMTB and I lose the stress and focus on the ride:) As far as getting the workout in, I don't care who you are what shape you are in, if you do 20 miles 2000' or more elevation off-road in a...
I wonder if it was the battery or the charging brick? The charging brick with my eMTB gets so hot during charging, I can't touch it. I have a power cord that come down from the ceiling of my garage and I let the brick hang free not resting on anything.
The dreaded electrical issues, as most riders here have told you check all of the connection, clean and re-seat all connections. Use this to clean connections "CRC Electronic Cleaner, Quick Dry for Sensitive Electronics"
That is odd that the North Cal parks allow speeds of 15mph for bikes / Class-1 eMTBs, here in So Cal 10Mph is the max, although the avg rider is going more like 20mph
Yes agree with Rob should be standards.
Standards that would be great: motor mount, battery power connection to motor, charger connection and a base motor / battery management software. Let the manufacture add there features to the base management software for their system.
Standard for assist /...
I have the RC Vice for 2 years now and they have held up great.
Ride Concept Vice or Vice Mid, the sole is grippy, also has a hexagon pattern, which allows the pins on the pedal to inset, but still gives some foot movement to allow you to adjust your feet.
Welcome to the eMTB club, I am 62 I got my 1st eMTB 5 years ago and sold my aMTB a year later. I have 3 eMTB now and best investment I made for having fun, reliving stress and staying in shape. I ride about 80 miles a week, way more then I did with the aMTB.
Here my numbers for a Polygon T6e, Shimano EP6, I am 160lbs, ride Eco - Trail, single speed.
I added elevation as that makes a big different how much battery is used and how many miles I can ride.
1. What is your average ride length (time or distance)? 20miles or 1 1/2 hours
2. What size is...
I am guessing, but I am sure that the EP801/EP6 motors are all spec and tested to handle 28Mph/45Kmh, speed limit is handle thru the software of the motor.
