Who actually wants more than 85nm and 400%

I mainly ride in Trail Mode set to 90nm/600watts which is perfect for my rides. I average 25 miles/5,000ft elveation. I LOVE that I'm not limited to that level of power though. I ride mostly moto single track which get's hammered much more than mtb/emtb trails and the extra power is useful...

    4th derailleur in 14 month

Bummer. I've gone through the same in the same amount of time. Also taken out 2 rear triangles in the process.

    Avinox M2s rattle

After spending time on a few different motors lately, I figured I’d post my personal motor rattle rankings. This is purely based on what I can hear while riding rough terrain, descending, and general trail chatter. Scale is 1–10 with 10 being the loudest rattle. Bosch Gen 4 Race = 10/10 Bosch...

What did you buy your ebike this week?

Finally picked up some Enduro Engineering bike stands. Love how easy it is to lube my chain and how stable the bikes are on the stand.

Crestline RS 181.2 thread – builds, reviews, technical info

I love the Fillmore valves. Try holding the tire/wheel "flat" and shake up and down to get the sealant to try and seal at the valve. Usually a couple of shakes and they seal up nicely.

Dialing in suspension with Chat GPT.

I’ll admit it—I used ChatGPT to dial in my suspension, and it worked way better than I expected. I started with the standard FOX recommended settings as a baseline. The bike felt decent, but not amazing—kind of the usual “good on paper, meh on trail” situation. From there, I fed ChatGPT details...

Some of you are killing my OCD with your cables, haha. Here is my setup. I wish I could eliminate the brake cables too!

No Boost on my new M2s

I left my firmware untouched and never updated it. Curious if the issues are with the people who did update the firmware.

No Boost on my new M2s

You guy's having Crestline/Avinox issues, what firmware are you running? Had my 1st ride yesterday and everything worked as it should including Boost Mode. Here is my current firmware.

Just went on my 1st ride with my 181.2 Plaid Edition. This is my 6th and most favorite Crestline to date. Bike is 100% perfect. All modes including Boost mode worked as they should. I did my normal 22miles/4,200ft elevation local ride running 100% Trail mode and came home with 25% battery left...

Looks like the recommended spring rates went up between the 181.1 vs 181.2. Top photo is for the 181.1.

I replaced the Rockshox bearing adapter upgrade 26mm, kit and this solved the issue right away. Try holding the rear triangle down as you lift up the top tube and you should feel a little movment where the bolt goes through the shock mounting hardware.

I’ve run the Reserve Carbon HD30s and really liked them. The $700 price point on the alloy version is appealing, and they feel slightly more compliant than the carbon. If I held onto my bikes longer, I’d go carbon without hesitation.

With the bike stationary, lightly lifting up on the top tube produced a knocking sound, and you could feel play at the rear shock mount. While riding, it felt like the coil shock was topping out.

Super stoked on the RS 181.2. I’m order #22—so far just a shipping label, no bike yet. I did spec it with the Fox 38. Ordered a RAW Carbon, RH-3, 29er, Fox Factory Float X2 Air Shock (wanted coil). This will be my 6th (5 29ers/1 MX) Crestline. I’m basically cloning my current RS 181.1, just...
