Are there any recommendations for a place in Canada for e-bike motor (Yamaha) repairs?

Trek rail 9.7 has been nothing but broken chains/cassettes for duration of ownership

Depends if you are sitting or standing on the pedals, and the proximity of the top tube.

Trek rail 9.7 has been nothing but broken chains/cassettes for duration of ownership

Broken chains = shifting under too much pressure (e-bike or regular), possibly way out of chain alignment. Premature worn out chain = poor maintenance, bad conditions (gritty soil on a wet chain, or mud)

    Taller crown race?

The only contact point is the rubber bumper.

    Taller crown race?

I am pretty sure I'll leave it the way it is. I don't like changing the geometry that much either. The Fox fork is already 10mm longer than the Suntour OEM. Thanks all for your thoughts.

    Taller crown race?

Good thought. I'll have to look at that possibility. But the bars do have to be turned a lot to make contact.

    Taller crown race?

I was thinking the same. The only time there would be significant contact is in a crash. Annoyingly, even slight contact with the compression knob causes a click.

    Taller crown race?

I just took a look and I'll need to drop the fork 20mm to get enough clearance between the rubber bumper and the stantion caps on the fork crown. Surely adding 20mm to the effective fork length.will screw up the handling. Thoughts?

    Taller crown race?

I've replaced the fork on my 2020 Stance-e with a Fox Factory 36 which BTW feels much better than the OEM Suntour. The problem is that both the air cap and the compression dial make contact with the rubber battery bumper at the top of the down tube when the handlebar is turned sharply. Does a...

    Help choosing bike please

Definitely go full suspension of you will be riding anything rougher than bike paths. Don't worry too much about pedaling efficiency... you've got a motor. I developed back problems on my hardtail years ago and have had three FS bikes since, with no back issues.

    2021 Trance X E+2 advice.

I'm 5'10" and have a Stance-e medium. I am happy with the sizing. I wouldn't want to go to a large. But I do think I am on the limit fir a medium. I smashed my motor guard on my first trail ride. The Giant dealer I bought the bike from has twice received the wrong replacement part...

Challenging myself to ride 85 miles tomorrow

On proper mountain bike trails in the "Normal" mode I can do about 40 km on a charge. So yes, big difference. After 2-3h my butt is done anyway so anything more than 30-70 km depending on surface is redundant.

Challenging myself to ride 85 miles tomorrow

I did 68 km yesterday on my 2020 Stance mainly in Eco except towards the end when I want to Eco+. Half paved, half gravel. Used 40% of the 400W battery.

    cassette compatibility

The chain has less than 200 km and it is still at 0% "stretch"/wear. Its a Deore 10 spd, with clutch.

    cassette compatibility

The patient is a 2020 Canadian Stance-e that came with an 11-42 cassette, which is just starting to skip. There doesn't seem to be much availability. Any idea if an 11-46 would fit? Is the cage and chain link enough for a 46? I'm ok with slightly lower gearing. Thanks.

    dropper post on a Stance-e

120x410 in a medium Stance-e. It was tricky snaking the internal cable but quite doable. I used a nylon strap as a snake and a vacuum to pull it up the seat tube.
