I would assume it would be the same as the age of the bike?

    Error 513. New motor time?

You sound really unlucky to have that many failures. I ride mine all year round also, in the North East, always wet and muddy and it gets washed with a hose after every ride. I would assume my failure was due to water ingress as it was intermittent in the end, but that’s just a guess.

    Error 513. New motor time?

Yeah they did! I’ve just had a new motor fitted FOC, less than 2 week turnaround. Can’t argue with that.

    Error 513. New motor time?

My bike is now with the shop I bought it from for a replacement motor. The error is intermittent and will reset for an unknown amount of time, it could be fine for 30 miles, it could reappear instantly. Error 513. New motor time?

I’m taking it to the shop I bought it from to see what they can do. Just to update, I’ve given it a clean, checked all electrical connections and turned it back on and now it’s fine. No error and working fine again 🤷🏼‍♂️

    Error 513. New motor time?

Hi all, Got a 513 error on my 2020 Rail this morning. From what I’ve read it looks like new motor time, internal cadence sensor fault. Annoyingly my bike is 5 days out of warranty. Has anyone has to pay to replace their Gen4 motor? If so what was the cost?

If you’re using the same outer cable, 100% you don’t need to drop the motor.

    Biggest rear rotor for Rail?

@Stihldog I’m 150lb riding weight running MT7’s with 220mm rotors from and rear and have no issues with them at all hot or cold. I changed from Saints with 203mm ice tech rotors and the difference was noticeable immediately.

So.....Had a big rocky OTB yesterday and just noticed I bent my seat stay and added some nice scrapes......Warranty Question?

Even if Trek won’t give you any discount the seat stay and chain stay are cheaper than you’d think. I have a spare seat stay for my 7 after I put a ding in mine more than a year ago. It was round £110 from memory.
