    Suing Shimano?

First question is what is a large number? Do you gave any firm statistics. I would venture to say the failure rate is not as high as you think.

Is it ok to hose wash an Ebike?.

It's the #1 cause of drownings worldwide. Very dangerous stuff.

    Bikestand washing/maintenance?

    No it's not.

    Fed up with tubeless.

Suggest checking where leak is coming from in a water bath, just like checking an inner tube. If it's coming from spoke holes it's the tape. Edge of rim it's the seating. Around the valve body incorrectly seated valve. A proper set up will actualky hold air with minimal leakage for over 24hrs...

Honest question - what do you think it’s worth.

You. Need to get out more. There are orange Lambos, Mclarens, BMWs, Mustangs, Porches to name a few. Not that I would have an orange car but an orange MTB would be ok.

    Damaged carbon frame

Carbon can be layered to provide stiffness in one direction while providing more flex in another direction. A properly designed carbon frame bike should provide better handling characteristics and less rider fatigue. This is a great article about advantages and disadvantages of Carbon vs AL...

Spinning the cassette backwards by packpedalling......how to?

I cable tie the crankarm to the chainring works a treat. Allen key/Torx key depending on chainring bolt also works, but can do some minor surface damage to crankarm.

Would I notice the difference ??

People get so hung up on motors. Will you notice the difference? Yes if you ride them back to back. Does it matter? Not really as you will adjust your riding to make it work. Range is questionable if you ride both motors with the exact same settings. Bosch is slightly better. Reliability...

I can see the bumper sticker now. Noisy Tyres Saves Lives.

    deristriction worry

No, but if you modify the ECU software to give you more turbo boost or change the timing curve or add a piggyback chip to do the same.warranty will be denied irrespective of the fact that the engine was probably designed ti take a bit more. Its no difference.

    Unanswered Unseating Tyres from rim

Oth Care to expand. Other than the additional maintenance burden really haven't seen any disadvantages. Used to get a number of pinch flats as well as thorn flats. Haven't had one since going tubeless. Seen a few areas of goo that leaked that certainly would have resulted in flats. I would...

    spd or flat?

Went back and forth for awhile. Dont think would ever go back to spd. I like the ability to adjust the foot position, and drop a foot quickly on gnarly terrain or tight turns. Also in winter riding on clay based muddy surfaces, you just can't clear that sticky stuff of an spd pedal (actually...

    too many gears

Interesting looking at the comments. I typically use eco mode and on steep hills with rocky switchbacks I'm in the low gears and often on 51t. What goes up must come down and I'm in the high gears up to 10t on some DH tracks. Guess if you only use boost or ride flattish trails you can...

    What Protection

Since a Goup3 AC ligamet shoulder injury at 63, I use the Leatt 3DF Airfit lite body armour and Fox knee guards when doing more enduro riding and just knee and elbow protection on easier trails. The body armour does get hot but it fits well and is comfortable. I believe it prevented moderate...

Didn't think they even sold Fosters anymore. Certainly hasn't been mainstream in Oz for years.

    Question for all EP8 drivers

Sounds like you've tried different things re mode, gear, body position. Technology can only do so much. Until they come you with Elecronic Anti Skid for ebikes only thing that might hep is motor with high output at lower cadence and they just dont exist. Lower tyre pressures (below 25psi) or...

Spectral:on cracked frame, warranty replacement rejected by Canyon

While there is no evidence of side impact, external forces could be different things. One possibility is a jump or drop exceeding the load capabilities of the bike. A 20 ft drop could do this. Using a coil shock could add forces that the frame was not designed for. Bikes have weight carrying...

Carbon or Ali bars to dampen out stutter bumps ?

Interesting comment. As a general rule carbon should have more flex than Al. But whatever works.

I finally picked up my ebike?

Guess it depends where/how you ride. In 30°C heat with 700m of climbing and 30km of riding technical terrain I go through a fair bit of water, even with hydrating prior to a ride. I only use boost on steep sections to conserve power so perhaps riding harder. If I'm at an MTB trail park with...

    Recommend me a torque wrench

Just calibrate your torque wrench at home. Many you tube videos available on how to do it. Check it at torques you normally use, then add or subtract to setting accordingly when you go to use it. I do it to all my torque wrenches one a year or if I drop one.BTW, I like to use a "jug with...
