this is an appealing idea... shame they don’t seem to be following through on the t.e.c. Pack idea, so I suspect unlikely.
I’m somewhat regretting not getting a bike with a bigger battery, especially one that can’t be taken in and out. that said, for a quick blast around our local trails it’s...
So, for those who used the tec pack, how differently did the bike ride? For my local rides I don’t need it, but i do rather regret not having the option to go on longer treks. And they aren’t that easy to get hold of in the U.K.
Yeah, I am enjoying the bike, but I am somewhat regretting the inability to remove the battery. it’s turning out in practice to be a signifcant design compromise in my opinion...
Thanks all. The good news here for me is that the worst scenario seems to be having to leave the bike to warm up a few hours inside. Comforting to know that leaving the bike in the shed won't wreck it somehow.
Thanks. What do you mean exactly by ‘off it went’? That It stopped charging?
Were the issues permanent, or does it go away after everything has warmed up again?
I read today a piece suggesting the whole bike would need to be kept indoors in cold weather, to allow the battery to charge.
Does this simply mean the battery won’t charge below a certain temperature, or is the battery actually ruined by being left in cold temperatures? (Ie, if left in sub...
Thanks. I am tempted by the minions then (maybe in front, with high roller on the back) 2.8 size... description seems to tally with my local conditions.
So, do people recommend tubeless?
in the meantime, maybe I’ll try my rekons a bit more with a little less air...
Thank you all. Seems I am not alone then. It’s the wet sloppy mud and leaves that’s the challenge. Lots of good advice here. I see that people arent going for the full 2.8 width then, with the jam2 plus? (Which is 27.5).
Yes, this is what I am finding. It slips when I lean beyond a certain level. But that could also be a function of the weight distribution of the bike, going at the right speed etc.
So, I am learning my bike, what works for me what doesn't, and I have had a few occasions now where I have slipped, where I would not have expected to on my old hardtail (2.4 tyres).
Now in no way am I an expert rider, so I would assume that this is a question of me getting used to how to...
OK, I went for it. So far so good. Decent quick responses to licensing, connection all went fine, so far tried a minimal adjustment (market), and it seemed to work.
Staving off the temptation to go for more at this stage... seems this is actually what I was looking for, and will try it over...
Yeah, I’ve been finding it fine on the heath, hills and forest trails round where I live. It's the getting there that’s annoying.
maybe after Brexit the UK will change it’s limit to the US standard. I hear it’s one of the top priorities. :)
Not sure that quite right.
Risk is not all or nothing, it can usually have some kind of value attached to it.
I’m just trying to assess the level of risk I would be taking on. And I appreciate the answers people are offering here. This all seems normal enough to me.
