Hi,
I already removed E8000 display in my bike to have clean cockpit. Now I am using Garmin EDGE 530 with EW-EN100 only. My bike have mechanical XT rear derailleur (1x11). I am going to switch it to Di2. Problem is that after removing original display E8000 I do not have any empty ports to...

In my bike to E8000 are connected two wires: one from switcher and another one from something else.
Do I correctly understand that I need to disconnect this wires and connect them to EW-EN100?
Thanks this I will have BT functionality for Garmin and still have switcher. Is it correct?
Hi,
I have E8000 and EDGE530. As I understand if I will buy EW100 I need to remove E8000 display but do I need to remove assist switcher on the left side of my handlebar (if yes how I will be able to switch assist modes i.e. Eco, Boost or Trial?). It is OK for me to remove E8000 display and...
Check their website. Almost daily they adding new bikes. They started with 2020 road bikes. I suppose e-bikes will be the last they update :(
My thoughts:
1. If they are going to use E9000/EP8 maybe they need to wait to Shimano officials present their new motor first.
2. If they are going to...
I am agree. I will add that every e-bike owner should taking account future service costs and availability of specialistic service for engine. This for Specialized will be higher and finding service for Brose motors will be harder comparing to Shimano (plenty of Shimano Service Centers). So...
There is rumours that Shimano is preparing EP8 motor (E9000). If Canyon is going to stay with Shimano motors it is possible that they are waiting for official release of this motor to present their new e-bikes with bigger internal battery and of course new motor.
I am really curious how it...
Hi Rusty and Shifty,
In the meantime I have had opportunity to ride few e-bikes. It was few models from Haibike with different geometry. Now I am sure that geometry like Trance is for sure OK for me. I am looking even for more fork travel (~160mm) now. Now I am thinking more about comparison...
Thank you all for answers.
I think if I will chose Giant I will go for Trance but before final decision I need to rethink Haibike option :)
All the best Arek
Of course it would be the best solution but here in Poland it is not an option. If it will be possible I will be do this. Shops don't have e-bikes on the stock. They typically have one (sometimes two) e-bikes from low level (almost exclusively treking or hardtail) for test ride. Just to be able...
Thank you for answer. I hard the same from friend of mine but he also warn me that Trance geometry make it much harder for longer raiding. My main concern is how harder it will be comparing to my current Anthem 2. As I wrote in my first post I really frequently riding not only on a single tracks...
Hi All,
It is my first post on this forum. Hello to everyone :)
My everyday bike is Giant Anthem 2 MY2017 (Anthem 2 (2017) | Giant Bicycles United States). I am going to buy my first e-bike. I am 46 y old, and my weight is 70 kg (154 lbs).
Please help me to choose between Giant Trance E+ 2 PRO...
