Why don't they just chuck new models in a swimming pool to test. Applies to all manufacturers, as far as I know none of them are waterproof . Can't be that hard can it. No reason an emtb can't be 100% waterproof.
After 18 months and 2500 km's I'm still loving my trek powerfly..... although it does seem to be drinking muc off chain lube like its going out of fashion.
5 to 10 euros for 120ml does seem a little excessive. Anyone got any better value suggestions? Can I use my motocross bike chain lube?

Noticed this on ebay, a step in the right direction. It still only addresses a very specific although most common failure. I would still prefer to be able to order individual parts and fix it myself like i can with my motorcycle.
