Just had my 2018 Levo at my LBS today for the same problem! My mechanic told me it was the chain retention bracket not being adjusted properly! He has never heard of motor covers being a problem and basically laughed at me and told me to make an appointment so he could adjust the chain retention...

Yes it does. I always back off pedalling for half a second when shifting gears. It seems to help making gear changing smoother.

Well here's a update on my Shimano CN-HG901-11 chain. The chain has just over 1,000kms on it now and it is still under 0.50 on the chain gauge. This has not been treated like a princess like my KMC chain. It has been wiped clean and lubed after every third ride. I ride in strictly dry conditions...

With a 36t chainring, Petaling as fast as I can on a flat surface,with speed limiter set to 75, I can get to about the 48kph range. Any down hill decline and I can get 50+. I also have my air pressure in my tires at max pressure (30psi).

Now all you have to do is change your chainring to a 36 tooth and your golden!

Yep, I mostly use my Levo for riding around the city trails for some exercise. Its Awesome to be able to ride 40+ kph in the bike lane!
