Glad it's on YouTube, never understood any of the other podcast formats. I like watching stuff via the telly.
I have however recently learnt I can say to my Alexa "play the ride companion podcacast" to hear Olly and Davi's podcast. Pure magic!
I tried with this one but no luck.
I replaced the u6000 I reviewed here with the 10 speed deore one. Loads better quality. Plus I actually like having a dorky shift window again! Useful.
Personally I would bin off all this 12 speed foolishness and get 10 or 11 speed Shimano linkglide. For example the complete 10 speed deore is £150. That's the cassette, mech, shifter and chain. Thicker cassette to cope with the extra power from an ebike.
This uses a Shimano HG driver.
The known issue with the cracking swingarms is a big problem without warranty. The bike will be scrap.
If you have the 3rd gen, the right one, I wouldn't be so worried.
For sure. A bullet dodged there. Plus I've learnt from this I am never going to buy a mail-order bike again. LBS only.
I feel for those scammed out of money, as I do feel it was a scam. Asking for full payments up front, ever sliding delivery dates, non existent communications.
The signs were...
Seeing as I have many times suggested using the deore short cage 10 speed linkglide derailleur with the cues 10 speed 11/48 cassette, I'm finally able to fit it to my bike and take some pics.
Designed for a max of 43t cassette, but fits the 48 fine.
Smallest cog. Good chain wrap.
Biggest cog...
A oneup 210mm dropper from leisure lake at the reduced price of £165. Plus £40 for the lever.
Come on ebike motor centre, hurry up and refurb my motor! The sun has finally come out.
Oneup 210mm post arrived and fitted after much swearing. Anyone who had done this knows how painful cable routing is, but whilst the motor is away for refurb, seemed the ideal time.
6', kenevo s4, 165mm cranks, 32" leg.
Sorry I'm in too much of a bad mood to convert to inches.
Seatpost...
Replying to myself here. Rather annoyed I missed this back in January as I had ordered a Bosch bike at the time but I ended up recently cancelling.
Best I can see currently is £900 from specialized with the 10% off new subscriber making £810.
No. Did a few on a pedal bike before ebikes were a thing. CBA these days. Poor value for money for the amount of time riding I find. Much prefer a chilled day in the bikepark instead.
210mm ordered. Really good price in the UK currently, £165 plus £40 for the lever.
Seems pointless to get the 180mm when it's only 20mm more than stock.
Makes sense to do it now whilst the motor is out for a refurb.
I'm pleased to say I received my refund today. I sent a new email to support using the method I described a few posts above & got a very quick reply the next day.
Thank you to Kaisa for picking this up and promptly making things right.
I'm about £75 down due to exchange rates, expected this.
Im...
Looping back round to this as I'm ready to buy soon.
Just checking you mentioned you had actually raised the seatpost a bit when you took these measurements? So if it was slammed down to the nobbles your 23" measurement would be a little lower?
Whilst my motor is away for a refurb, I am marveling how light the bike is without a motor and battery.
I wonder if one day once these are beyond economical repair some enterprising company will make a nifty alloy bolt in bottom bracket?
It's something I would have been able to do years ago, but...
If it's similar to the bike I recently tried to buy from euroland that price is likely vat included. They should knock the vat off then when it hits the UK you will get charged UK vat plus 6% import.
If they are not geared up to sell to the UK it could be a pain.
Totally agree on the costs of accommodation. I used to do loads of weekends away pre 2020. Plenty of b&b's around for a max of £50 or so back then.
I'm not paying what they charge these days, I sleep in my van.
