What did you do to your EBike this week?

So it’s not holding air? When it “blew” did it bottom-out and then not rebound?

What did you do to your EBike this week?

Congratulations and welcome to the club! Don't worry about your lawn, I don't want anything to do with them after 55 years in the Puget Sound. I traded mine for rocks, cactus and a splotch of artificial turf for accent color. I bailed early after my agency had a change of upper management (not...

What did you do to your EBike this week?

I hope the unemployment was by choice. Nice stickers or as our Canadian folk say, decals (pronounced deckles).

What did you do to your EBike this week?

I spent 55 years in western Washington so I've had my fill of wet and grey skies. The desert is definitely a different animal but, I prefer the blue skies to the grey. Our A/C doesn't turn on until the inside temperature hits 25.5 Celsius. The lower humidity makes higher temperatures much more...

What did you do to your EBike this week?

It appears that we get dust today instead.

What did you do to your EBike this week?

It would definitely be nice to get some rain. Unfortunately, we don't seem to get as much rainfall on the west side of the valley as compared to the east side. Maybe, if I wash the car and park it outside, vacuum last night's dust/dirt out of the pool and balance the chemicals, that may be just...

What did you do to your EBike this week?

I "summerized" my Levo. The temperatures will be consistently in triple-digits through September so my battery is now at a "storage" level and I drained the sealant from the tires so it doesn't turn to a gooey blob. I'll have to live vicariously through those of you that don't live on the...

    Pic of the Day

Blueberry Farms is a must-visit whenever we're in town. I was once cautioned to be less "spirited" by a Washington State Patrolman during a motorcycle ride across the pass. I thanked him for only giving me a verbal warning.

    Pic of the Day

Our time-share is on Wapato Point in Manson. It's the third deepest lake in the U.S. It's a beautiful area. We got lucky that there wasn't any wildfire smoke in the vicinity this year. In August, 2023, the smoke was so bad you wouldn't have been able to see the other side of the lake in your photo.

    Pic of the Day

No emtb pics here. Last week’s vacation at Lake Chelan, Washington. The wood was washed out of the forest by heavy rains earlier in the year and floated “downstream” (there’s a dam at the SE end of the lake). I sucked a small piece of wood into our jetski (not the rentals in the photo) which got...

What did you do to your EBike this week?

That’s why I use the purples. Great modulation and easy to ramp up the power. I’m in the rocky desert so rear lock-up is less than wet soils but, before the b1 and galfers, I could inadvertently lock the rear in the asphalt parking lot.

    Knee pad replacement advice

I like the 7 iDP Sam Hill lite pads. I’m more of a trail rider, blues and some blacks. I have less than 20 rides with them but they are staying in place so far.

    New to E-MTBS - Between Levo 3 and 4.

Check the torque on all of the fasteners. Watch the bottle holder bolts, they may loosen over time. Enjoy your new bike!

What did you do to your EBike this week?

I added Galfer Purples to the b1 kit and find the brakes to be perfect for me.

    Tubeless sealant top up

Orange sealant. Start with 4oz per tire and the 2oz every 2 months until dead tire. Tires last about 500 miles+\-.

New Bike Day! (Anybody offended by thick downtubes, please look away!) :-)

You sir, are a man of fine taste! Orange is the best color and the Schwalbe radials are excellent (although quick-wearing) tires.

    Body armour. Again!

Roost (short for rooster tail) comes off of the rear tire of an offroad motorcycle. Nobody on the planet has powerful enough legs to create a “roost” from a bicycle tire that would require a chest protector designed to ward off flying dirt/rocks.

    Body armour. Again!

I’m not sure what company makes it but, this may be your best option.

    Stone the heretic. Unpopular opinions

“Rub one out with the old rubber”? I’ve never heard of it being called a “comment” before. Must be a UK euphemism. ;)
