I put a GoogeFi data sim in there from my travel line. It’s turned off (so no cost). I can turn it on anytime, say on a trip or if bike is at risk. Simple mostly free solution.

You have the same firmware versions as me. Only difference is battery (got 800wh). Maybe reset everything on the bike screen?
