Don't over drama this guy's, previous updates were done at the LBS - this is now done over the air. Most of the survey was geared to get feedback on the update process, not the update itself - so that's why it's being tested in batches with 'random' people. You have a good bike, appreciate it...

Defo, if they only release the gradual reduction in power as limit approaches in this update, it will make most people happy with the bike (and also get fitter themselves without even noticing!)

It's ours to keep, they couldn't force a downgrade as people could choose not to update - it takes 20-30 min and requires the bike to be fully charged or plugged in, they couldn't risk forcing it with no choice as it could fail and may brick the bike

Yep! Details in the post above the video - mine used 9% less than the pre-upgraded bike, on a 30 mile ride. For comparison, we did a 35 mile ride 2 days previous and we were between 1-2% different, which mirrors all other rides we do. I always put it down to me pedalling just a few rpm...

Hi, update as promised :) The bike is vastly improved!! The smoothness as you reach the limiter is night and day different, as noted last night on the quick test it no longer surges by clicking on and off, so it is much more enjoyable to ride, it feels natural to pedal at the speed limit now...

Ok guys I've taken the plunge! mainly because the update firmware became a banner in the home screen rather than just an instruction via email with details to check through. It didn't take long and I did it at 100% battery but the display did worry me while it was running as it said do not...

So I maybe pushing it, but I have an old Thule 3 mount towball rack - I've carried 2 ebikes and 1 analogue, with another ebikes in the boot - it bounces a bit, but it's not failed - however I am really mindful it's going to bend at some point or fail totally. Especially when in lanes going up...

I would guess he got confused on the 840wh battery, and typod to 860, but I could be wrong and it's a phased roll out or something - screenshot will confirm all :)
