So....is this determined to just be 'the way it is'? That video @RustyMTB posted, I have that too, but does it cause a CLUNK on any chatter bumps. I have had a crafty with bosch for 3 years, it's my favorite bike but I am so over that damn clunk rattle.
I am not much help, but, I had to remove motor for internal housing as well (replaced the specialized post with a Rockshox reverb)...if I recall though, once I got the four main bolts out, I was able to shift motor and get housing through....I don't think I had to completely remove motor.
Can't speak to the decoy specifically, BUT, I put a 160mm fork on my Levo, from the 150 stock, and like it much better....Geo is better, ride quality for me is great. I'd assume upping your decoy from 160 to 170 won't hurt anything.
48yo, life long california resident. MTBing since mid 80's, embedded deep in the bike industry, mostly racing but run TLD bike brand now full time. Got a Levo 4 yrs ago, split my time between my pedal bikes and eMTB. So cal riding is not super fun for me anymore, crappy terrain, no trees, hot -...
I did a ride a month ago, levo carbon expert, 700wh battery. It was HOT that day, about 90-95 degree, I was on the bike a little over 4 hrs, 8500' climbing, almost 40 miles, I think I had about 25-30% battery left. Rode a little eco, a little on the mid power and a couple times on turbo (super...
I just replaced my Levo's Spesh post, with a new reverb stealth, my lord, what a difference. Love dropping the post now, more importantly, bringing it back up without a vasectomy
Looking at that Dept of Interior letter, sounds like class 1, 2, and 3 are allowed?? that is BAD News!!, am I reading it wrong? it should ONLY be class 1. Uh oh.
San Juan trail, in OC....I believe that is cleveland national forest, so does this mean I can ride my Levo there, legally? pretty sure it has been illegal, according to the haters that have heckled me up there.
@cozzy I have a levo, which I assume you have...had it for about 4 months, been riding it hard, not one issue-motor has been a dream. That being said, I really wanted the Decoy-but didnt want to wait for the battery wH upgrade. Both nice bikes, I demo'd a decoy, it was pretty sweet.
Just got one this weekend, did a long ride, the STEPS motor is fantastic, coming off of a Brose equipped bike for 2 years, I think I am going to like this motor more-feels more like a mountain bike, I feel like I was still in control.
You've got the bracket upside down mate! The smooth longer end goes towards the bottom bracket and you use those rubber bands to go OVER a tube, etc....
