How many Aussies are there on the forum?

Loved the Alice...like riding on Mars with more rocks I heard it said. I rode the Redback on my Powerfly LT, what an event. Dead right, great shops and service. I’m in Kununurra in a 1000 mile bike dead spot - Broome or Darwin and not so much on the e bike. But some rad trails if not lots...

Error 500 codes and service outcomes...did your bike die?

Thanks for your feedback Skyfree Yes gen 3 CX Was in emtb mode first time, tour on the second. If it’s a problem with over heating, they are gonna have a lot of problems with product in Australia! Where I live, winter days are above 30oC, summer 40! Though my biggest climbs would be 500 feet...

Error 500 codes and service outcomes...did your bike die?

Mid 4 day, 6 stage event last week I had error 500 power failure on 2019 Powerfly 9 LT (Bosch gen 3 performance CX). Pedal mode in embrace. Rode out 12km without power. Inexplicably powered up again for 2 more stages trouble free 80km of riding. Final stage, was 30km into final 45km stage...

Speed:Assist calibration error - cuts out 10% under limit

Nope but thanks for the idea (which I had previously tried). Moved further and tested but no impact. I suspect the magnet sensor has a wide field but motor output not calibrated on the magnetic field range. It’s gotta be in the software. Today sitting steady on 25kph on Garmin and reading 26.5...

Speed:Assist calibration error - cuts out 10% under limit

The pedal assist cuts out at 23 not 25kmh and that sucks. I’ve noticed that my Garmin GPS is reading about 23km/h when the readout on the Purion shows 26kph and assist cuts out and the dreaded Bosch resistance (feels like a spin bike friction brake applied at low/mid pressure) kicks in. It’s...

    New weapon...the Powerfly LT9

Cheers Ron, they are an impressive beast - does ride well, climbs like a mountain goat and that soft long travel ride is plush. I briefly rode a Levo Comp carbon today for a comparison and liked it a lot. The power came on smooth, no post 25kmph resistance and it was oh so quiet. Next time...???

Let’s see your Trek eMTB pics

Kununurra...it’s a self serve menu but there’s a few of us that chop in. Main bloke is a dead set champ and has built most of the 35km of Bush tracks with the assistance of a few. It is hard hot work even in winter and not much loam. It’s either rocks, sand or spinifex. Epic scenery though...

    New weapon...the Powerfly LT9

Pretty stoked to re-enter the EMTB world - had a Gepida Ruga Hardtail in 2014. The Trek is gonna be a quantum leap from 5 years ago. I wanted the Levo but couldn’t justify the STax and got a deal I couldn’t knock back. Can’t wait to get on it on the gnar up here in the Kimberley. Das Panzer!
