Norco Range VLT Gen 4 2026

I’ve heard about layup and resin issues meaning the paint is more succeptable to I’ve heard about layup and resin issues meaning the paint is more susceptible to chipping. It is affecting C1 more than C2, so interested to hear feedback on this forum. Currently my C2 range is holding up well…...

Norco Range VLT Gen 4 2026

Agree that the paint “looks” good and appears to be similar quality to other brands. I have just heard that it appears to be an issue on the range/sight and Norco is aware of it. Also agree that the ride wrap is good for limiting scuffs etc, but bigger impacts will damage the paint/frame. I...

Norco Range VLT Gen 4 2026

Any feedback on paint quality or paint chipping easily on their frame? I’ve heard feedback that the paint on Range’s and Sight’s has quality issues.

Welcome to the club and happy NBD! Did you do a full custom ridewrap or an essentials type? I had the essentials installed and have added helitape in a few discrete locations to bolster the minimal essentials wrap. Do you have any changes planned for the components? I just had the Bosch cable...

Norco Range VLT Gen 4 2026

That build and colour way looks 👌 Did you try the bike with the X2 air shock or move straight to the coil? Are you planning to use the Powermore on all rides? I have the RE too, but I’m expecting to bring it out for bigger missions only.

    2025 Norco Sight VLT CX

Hi Peep. I created a Norco Range VLT thread, so feel free to include your Range comments there too. There aren’t as many people posting about the new Range as yet, so would appreciate your feedback. Thanks!

Norco Range VLT Gen 4 2026

A few photos of the Range in winter mode. Studded tires and pogies make this a capable winter ride. Trail speed is slower typically, but there is still fun to be had on untracked steeper trails that aren’t groomed :)

Norco Range VLT Gen 4 2026

I seem to have ~10mm clearance around the chainstays (each side and top of tire). It’s harder to tell at the seat stays as I have a mudguard fitted, but it appears to be similar or maybe 1-2mm more clearance.

Norco Range VLT Gen 4 2026

I just picked up my bike for the LBS with a new winter wheelset installed. 45Nrth Wrathchild tires (27.5x3”) on RaceFace ARC40 rims laced to DT 350 hubs. This is one of the main reasons I switched to the Range as it can clear this “plus” tire size through the seat and chainstays. I can even keep...

Norco Range VLT Gen 4 2026

The difference in rear travel is due to shock stroke. Sight has 60mm whereas Range has 65mm. Linkage is the same.

Norco Range VLT Gen 4 2026

My LBS added a Rocky Mountain Blizzard (the fat bike) downtube protector to my Range to give some additional protection from rock strikes. It’s placed just score the plastic motor guard and means there’s only a small unprotected section of the downtube. This is a neat solution for protection IMO.

Norco Range VLT Gen 4 2026

This is Canmore, AB. We are usually buried in snow and at -20C at this time of year, But it’s been VERY warm the last few weeks and this trail system opened up (South facing, windy exposed area).

Norco Range VLT Gen 4 2026

First ride on the Range today. What a composed and quiet bike. It’s winter here, but with some unseasonably warm weather there were a few trails open up. They are blue/black rated. I managed four laps. Coles notes: this is a capable bike. I felt like I was riding in slow motion! I was worried...

Norco Range VLT Gen 4 2026

I had the same feedback when I was looking at the Norco Sight VLT last year. Looking at the geo charts, I was on the fence between size 4 and 5. The bike shop made the decision easier by telling me there were no size 5’s available in C1 build in Canada. I eventually went with the Bullit, but...

Norco Range VLT Gen 4 2026

Yeah, my LBS got this bike to their store as soon as I said I wanted it through email communication. Not sure if there's high demand for the bike or low inventory. I also had the same "issue" with the Bullit. I put my order in before it was released to get one of the first allocations. Good...

Norco Range VLT Gen 4 2026

Thats a fair point and one of the reasons I have moved to a bike with a larger internal battery. I live in a valley surrounded by mountains and, while there are trails that traverse the mountian sides, I prefer gaining elevation and losing elevation mostly down the fall line :) The future...

Norco Range VLT Gen 4 2026

My new whip arrived! Size 4 Range C2 built up with different components. It’s 99% built. Planning to hardwire the rear derailleur, add a new Argotal supersoft enduro casing tire for the front. Also the bike store is warranting the cassete due to a broken tooth and warranting the rear derailleur...
