How odd did yours have the silver sleeve like in my photo?

Did anyone sort this issue out? One thing that has come up on a forum is that so bikes seem to have a washer and sleeve see photo. Just checked mine and definitely no sleeve but if that was left out it could explain the issues people are having?

Is that with the new 100nm update installed?

Is there anyway to adjust the amount the post extends when operated? Like being able to set a max height

There is definitely something wrong either with how the shock is installed or missing parts, or your frame is made incorrectly. I get what you are saying about it being a bad design but this would be happening on every bike if it was down to design alone. How many miles have you done?

Can someone post a photo of the paper test and the part of the shock they are measuring?

The bolts are designed to flex the issue are the bushes falling out if yours aren’t don’t worry about it. Putting a DIY bush into the frame is a really bad idea, if it cracks the frame your screwed

This is why I was suggesting to previous posts that if damage has occurred to the frame from the shock then the explanation is that either the rear shock was not installed correctly, the bolt was loose or sleeve was missing. Don’t get me wrong I think cube design and build quality is awful! But...

Agree that is odd and cube seem clueless! I’ve had my motor bushes falling out for the last 6 months and they haven’t come up with a Solution yet! How many bikes have you seen that are actually damaged by the rear shock?

Are you sure the bikes with the issues are assembled properly with the insert piece? It just seems odd as to why the design would effect some bikes and not others

That’s good you got a full refund. I would almost certainly say it must have been put together wrong either missing the insert sleeved or loos wrong bolt. If this was an issues with the frame there would be hundreds of cube 144/177 with this issue.

What was the outcome with the damage to the frame? I removed my shock the other day and there should be a silver sleeve that the boots goes through, are you sure this isn’t missing on your bike?

Hi thanks for everyone’s reply’s it’s appreciated. It’s all adjusted spot on and the star nut doesn’t slip it’s the stem. It would appear it’s a known issue with the nukeproof stems being slightly machine wrong. I think I’ve got around it by removing on of the lower spaces making the steerer go...

I wonder if it’s a faulty stem, just removed a spacer so the steerer goes about 2mm above the stem and it grips spot on. It may be I just have to run a small spacer on top of the stem 🤷

Yes it’s spot and and the bolts are tight I certainly wouldn’t want to go any tighter 😂
