No clue my dude. The only confirmed data that I have is that they are releasing 3 bikes.
2023 FOCUS JAM²SL 8.8 400Wh (Carbon).
2023 FOCUS JAM² 8.8 750Wh BOSCH (This one must be carbon according to Focus naming system).
2023 FOCUS JAM² 6.9 750Wh BOSCH (Aluminum).
There's no pictures, no info...
Fazua got bought by Porsche so I imagine they picked up on production to provide enough motors to cope with the demand.
BTW I've found out that Focus will release a 2023 FOCUS JAM²SL 8.8 400Wh so not sure what engine they are using as no mainstream brand makes 400Wh batteries, Maybe Fazua with a...
Sure the weight is quite an important part of the equation about the suspension discussion, I'm 72kg and all my friends are about the same or below 80~ so we all agree on the fact that we really don't need Zebs or 38's as we don't really notice the shift in performance compared to the spending...
The difference between the bikes is not only about the numbers but how the suspension is tuned, the Jam is not a brawler, it's supposed to be comfy and sporty, and I always say they shouldn't have a trail bike that heavy, but they do.
On the other hand the Sam has that job and it does it quite...
Focus still makes the Jam2 6.9 with bosch; and about the weight, 26kg (without cushcore or pedals) is a lot up or down if you ride in the andes where i live and do hike a bikes to get to the really steep and tight mountains, hell even in my local loop there are parts you literally cannot climb...
The problem you are all facing is the fact that Fold kinematics are too linear in the mid stroke, so you need more compression ramp up to not bottom out, there's lots of ways you can work around this, all depends on the budget.
The absolute best way to achieve this without changing the shock...
Well... the kenevo SL is a long travel light ebike, loved by many. I definitely see a brawler ebike with low battery+motor weight, more playful and enjoyable than a 26 kilo bike while mantaining aggresive geo and 170mm travel.
I emailed Focus about it directly and ofc they denied a new bike coming out, but I'm pretty sure that it's a new sam2 coming with fazua, the link and rear triangle are completely Focus, unless another brand from PON used the suspension design since they are owned by the same parent company as...
Posted in the general thread but no one cared too much about it haha.
Saw it on the Embn video of Steve about the Fazua factory.
By the looks of it looks like a full carbon frame with at least 170mm travel, probably a 360 battery like the Fuel EX-E or Pivot Shuttle SL.
I own a 2019 and love...
Steve may have leaked this one on the Fazua video featured in the EMBN youtube channel.
I own a 2019 and the 2021 was way too heavy, so this looks awesome.
Full carbon and at least 170mm of rear wheel travel. The kink behing the headtube looks weird though.
It looks like the problem you have is the overall size of everything, but you get used to it pretty soon, i passed from a 26” Hardtail to a Focus Sam2, it felt huge and quite dead tbh, but now i can’t stop riding it.
Best way to choose is definitely testing the bikes and the looking at the...
I work in a shop, and they haven’t given any info. their b2b shows that the next badge of bikes will be delivered to bike shops March 1st, 2020.
I abandoned all hopes on getting one this year.
I think i’m the youngest here, 23.
I started to ride mtb’s 6 years ago, mainly trail riding, some enduro races and a few park days, but recently i got a focus sam2 and i’ve ridden 1000km already, which was unheard off.
For me is a training game changer, i can do 18-20 laps in my local trail...
