Not sure percentage but I paid £3600 for my 2022 levo base Carbon a few months ago. I then added some parts I got at decent prices. Like fox 38s I got for £640
After hiking halfway up the track and watching people whizz past for a bit I returned to the finish line and watched the footage on the screens and watched riders ride the final section.
When you are up the hill you have no idea who's winning or losing etc which was something I personally...
Apologies.. Both genders then, although I'd hazard a guess 9/10 SWorks are bought by men. Judging by what I see on trails anyway.
Not really the point I was making but if that's the bit you want to latch onto then you do you :)
Because middle aged men keep buying S Works models thinking they it will make them ride like Richie Rude.
If people didn't buy them they wouldn't make them.
People should spend ten minutes pricing up components then work out the how much they are paying for a frame really.
My carbon levo...
Well I've given it a try at Glentress and I'm seriously impressed! The bike feels way more capable and supportive.
As expected running a coil on the back makes the front fork seem almost lacking in comparison. Going to get a shockwiz on it today and try and dial it in.
Absolutely recommend...
Part of me thinks that for the £60 I paid for the bash guard I could have just bashed hell out of my battery cover, saved some weight and some bottom bracket height and just replaced it when needed with one of these...
I have that one and the velcro didn't last two minutes. Think I need to bend the bash guard more to get it closer because it's too far from bike at rear.
It's nice enough but I don't know if I like it that much.
Turns out the shock I bought had the stroke changed by the previous owner and it wasn't 57.5 as Id previously worried. It's a 230x65 as intended so I was able to fit the link and shock today.
It feels very plush but I've not had chance to ride it properly yet.
Should be giving it a proper...
I've dismantled my rockshox air shocks in past but never the coil shock. I could probably buy a 20 quid hbo bolt to gain the travel but might be better off sending it back to the seller and sourcing a new shock.
Frustrating because I wanted to be on the long shock by now.
This sounds great but annoyingly the shock is practically new and i think they only install the upgrade as part of a full service so I'd likely be looking at a few hundred quid?
Was hyped to set mine up this weekend but it turns out the shock I bought advertised as a 230*65 turned up as a 230*57.5 :(.
Gutted.
If I hadn't already spent a fortune I'd consider doing the wps upgrade on it and getting them to change shock stroke at same time.
If you bought a gen 4 levo you'd be spending thousands more anyway.
You should be able to find a good deal on a gen 3 and it will be a long wait until gen 4 would get priced so low.
They have the 50cm one in stock here which I believe is xl.

That looks great. Much nicer than the float X2 to be honest. Nice build!
I'm waiting on a Rockshox Deluxe Ultimate Coil before I fit my longshock kit soon. If I don't click with that I might consider same as you.
I weigh the same as you do so it's good to have feedback like yours.

This is true. It's very unlikely many bike brands are producing brake pads. A handful of factories will take orders from tens of bike brands and produce them something to meet a requirement and price point.
Said factories would keep their number of unique pad compounds minimal to keep costs...
No need to apologise I understand you will have priorities and commitments. This bike just interested me because two of my friends bought it and would be good to see how your thoughts compare. Certainly a lot of bike for the money.
