You’re right, and really the motor repair only looks slightly more complex than a fork rebuild. I suppose I don’t mind that much, just surprised that they fail so quickly with such a short warranty.

You all got me pretty worried about failure. Rubbish to think you get 2 years + <1000 miles before you essentially have a boat anchor. And pray you can even buy the replacement motor or you really do have an anchor. I foresee a near future where bike mechanics will become e-bike motor repair...
