    it makes sense that the plug is not at the bottom. So no water can simply penetrate. If the plug was at the bottom, it would have to be sealed, but Bosch system has no waterproof plug connections.

    you need someone with thin arms ;) . Then you can loosen the screws. At the cable cover you have to pull out 2 long aluminum sheets with pliers 20x400mm so you can pull the cables. Is a job of 15 minutes.
