I had the same issue in overgrown/forested areas too but the price for mtb glasses was pretty expensive. I ended up buying two pairs from Temu with clear transition lenses for $10 AUD each.
They're comfortable and have held up really well so far.
I've been trying to figure it out myself for the same reason. Finding a wiring diagram is proving difficult, so I can only guess.
I'm assuming there is a cable which runs from the system controller to the Kiox then back to the motor, as the system controller only has one connector.

The mini remote has up and down buttons for switching riding modes, but it also has a small button between them on the inboard side which cycles between screens on the Kiox 300.
A lot better than the chunky handlebar mounted one.
I have a bosch connect module on order for the same reason. The plan is to disable the alarm so thieves don't wise up to the fact that they're being tracked.
I've been wondering about this, as my Focus has the system controller in the top tube and the mini remote. So I can remove the kiox 300 and both cables no worries?
