Hi folks I have a Specialized turbo levo. The battery is held in with a hex bolt that could easily be undone. I lock my bike up to back of car when camping (beside it) on multi-day treks, but just thought what's to stop someone stealing the £1000 battery off the bike. Any suggestions? Thanks

Mmm, that's interesting - because I sometimes start with motor off completely (on very flat terrain) and turn it on later, then go to 'off' as a mode...and it feels different. Will experiment with that tomorrow. The Specialized turbo levo was specifically marketed as not having any motor drag...

I use trailforks in UK and it's second to none. Run this on the smartphone mounted on stem with a quadlock so reasonably safe (inside a protective case) for most MTBing (but take it off and put in pocket for the really black stuff). Trailforks does also run on some of the higher end Garmins but...

Thanks for reply. My charger for 700WH battery is quite heavy so not sure how much I would do this. Was also thinking of being a bit more off-grid for a while, but good to know that pub would let you charge the bike
