Levo SL Gen 1 Cost effective upgrade for new SL 1.2 motor?

Ah yeah, gotcha. Didn't think of the kids bike being scuppered! 😂

Levo SL Gen 1 Cost effective upgrade for new SL 1.2 motor?

Wouldn't smaller wheels on the kids bike mean a higher top speed? At a given rpm a full 29er will be faster than a 24". Won't the system just be counting wheel rpm?

A long time not in the saddle: A Newbie

Hi there, welcome to the levo club! I've only had mine since November but I've enjoyed every minute spent on it. Do get set up for tubeless before you hit the trail, it's a doddle on specialized with the factory fitted rim strips. You'll only need some sealant and valves if they don't come in...

Mission Control Mission Control App Still Usable After March 27?

Worked fine for me. Weird thing was when I bought my used Levo it wouldn't sync with MC (the previous owner said the black app was sketchy), but I had to use the new app as it synced OK. I just logged into MC and my bike appeared! Off to see if it'll actually talk to it...

    What tyres are people using

I fitted a pair of Pirelli eMTB 2.6" tyres to my Gen 2 Levo. Super tough feeling tyres but they are right on the limit for clearance in the back. I've replaced it with a 2.4 Super Trail Big Betty but not given it a proper outing yet. It came with Michelin DH34 which seemed bomb proof but weigh a...

    Other New Levo SL2 Alloy

MBR liked it a lot on their spin out on it. https://www.mbr.co.uk/news/the-new-specialized-levo-sl-alloy-costs-5250-ditches-carbon-for-aluminium-and-still-weighs-in-at-just-20kg-436870

Other It's not a eMTB so maybe wrong forum but it's an Specialized ebike

At $9000 you've got to be keen versus just carrying on in a car. At $3500 the Haul LT seems to be it's biggest rival, how can be it be worth nearly triple the cost?! Globe Haul | www.specialized.com

    Chain reaction beware before ordering

Only for items that individually cost over £100, otherwise you're relying on Mastercard, Visa or Amex and voluntary chargeback.

What Full Fat with Removable Battery?

Specialized Levo/Kenevo have easily removable batteries.

    Chain reaction beware before ordering

I had an order cancelled Wiggle and CRC are both the same company/stock/warehousing so sadly both on borrowed time.

Signa Sports with Liquidity issues .... (CRC/Wiggle/Bikester/Probike/Nukeproof/Vitus)

The various design staff have announced on LinkedIn, etc. that everyone has been let go, beyond a skeleton crew in the warehouse to handle the last few sales. When Ashley took over Evans they carried on selling Pinnacle bikes to the same design as pre-takeover with no changes until they were...

Discounted Bike and parts Thread - cheap(er) ebikes & stuff

Used to use bikediscount.de a fair bit before brexit and the faff it created for buying from the EU.

And 300 quid more than it was released at. Personally I'd swerve that now.

Unanswered What should i choose between SRAM Pg 1210 and Pg 1230 ?

I've only experience of NX Eagle cassettes but if you're only interested in SX/NX level components and an HG freehub I'd also keep a look out for deals on Sunrace cassettes. It's sounds like you're wearing the higher gears more so an alloy granny gear wouldn't be an issue.

    Hi from an ebike newbie

Its a proper work out to attempt to go faster. That's good news, you'll be able to tell people truthfully its not cheatinh and you're still getting a work out. 👍 Being serious for a moment, tweaking it to go faster is illegal if used on the road, Giant don't have the best reputation for their...

Levo Gen 2 Levo Gen 2 tyre clearance query

I picked up my Gen 2 Levo second hand and it came with a pair of Michelin DH34s, the rear however was very worn. I've replaced them with Pirelli eMTB S in 2.6 and they are very tight in the rear on the stock wheels. The spec sheet says it came with 2.6 butchers, are the spesh 2.6 smaller or are...

    EMTB manufacturers are price gouging.

Honda annual turnover $132 billion Specialized annual turnover $0.5 billion Motorbike frame sizes = 1 Levo frame sizes S1-S6 First Honda motorbike 1949 First Specialized eBike 2009 That the two objects have wheels and a motor is a red herring. The two use cases place a higher burden on the...

    Wiring through the headset poll

Not my cup of tea so I'd avoid unless the bike was an exceptional one (either price or performance) but the new Focus I thought was the perfect worst example with its vomiting stem design and an integrated handlebar. So much hassle right there! 🤣

    EMTB manufacturers are price gouging.

Sounds identical to be honest. There are huge discounts across the board. I think the problem is that some feel that a bike sold with 50% off is still making the retailer and manufacturer fat profits when the reality is they are minimising losses by trying to clear the decks of depreciating...

    EMTB manufacturers are price gouging.

Pop into Halfords and get a commuting capable eBike for a grand or less. Do I think Specialized and the like are having a laugh with the price of an S-Works, yes siree. Are they depriving deserving individuals from a human right, no, I don't think so. At the risk of forcing the issue, ignoring...
