    2024 Santa Cruz Heckler SL

^ That's why I keep buying SC bikes. No stress when the worst happens.

Sounds like nonsense to me, but it can't hurt to email or call Fox.

    Bullit shock tune?

The difference between a Santa Cruz tune and a retail tune for Rockshox is C37 vs. C34 for the 2025 stuff, meaning, the compression is about 9% firmer. That's well within the range of adjustment of the shock, unless you're running to the extremes... i.e. middle of dial for C37 is full firm for...

Then your local shop doesn't know jack about suspension work, or charges like $800/hour for labor. It's a $28 kit, you pop out the old plastic placeholder knob and pop in the new one. The only tools needed are like a dental pick or something to push the ball bearings in. Shouldn't take more...

    Bullit shock tune?

What brand suspension? The Bullit-specific (Santa Cruz specific ones in general) RockShox tunes are basically just a little bit firmer compression. I use the regular retail tunes with no issue. I don't run Fox so can't comment there.

Bosch Gen 5 Rumour - More Power updates coming!

I'm assuming you're referring to gear selection display? It's very useful to know what gear you're in before you drop into a downhill track, especially if you're familiar with the trail and know what works. For me, most downhills I ride have zero pedaling (or zero places to sneak in a pedal...

Bosch Gen 5 Rumour - More Power updates coming!

I don't give 2 :poop: about getting more power/torque, but will happily buy a 700wh battery that is same size/weight as my 600. If I can zip up trails carrying a 40 lb trail building pack including a chainsaw with the current 100nm/750w, that's plenty. Also, I want to be able to pair my AXS...

Looks like the only real changes for the "Lite" versions are a Fox 36 instead of 38, EXO+ tires front/rear instead of DD/EXO+, 30HD rims f/r instead of 30DH r / 30HD f, and DT 240 hubs, and E*13 carbon cranks.

It just means they're doing new colors for 2026/27. The green and grey colors are over a year old at this point.

I ordered a new Zeb to replace my old worn out one currently on my Vala. I considered the Lyrik for it for a second since it can go to 170 now, but in my experience running both on a Heckler SL, it felt like that bike overwhelmed the Lyrik in steep stuff, landing drops, and heavy braking. I did...

Also from what I found in the Bosch documentation, it will deplete the highest % charge battery until it matches the other, then draw from them both evenly. But the range extender cord can only supply to provide roughly 80% power so if you drain the main battery first then add it, you'll have...

About 2 months per derailleur battery charge sounds right to me, or about 200 miles. The one tip I've always heard is that if you have to drive a long ways with the bike on a rack, remove the AXS batter and install the plastic blank so that the car's vibrations don't keep the AXS system awake...

Honestly that sounds like my experience with anything e*13 - basically name brand OEM filler junk. I bought a factory demo bike that came with e*13 wheels a few years back and took those things off as soon as I could afford a real set of wheels - they were SO draggy.

The short answer is it depends on how you set up your suspension. I set my 65mm shock up with less sag, equivalent to the same amount (in mm) as if I was running 30% on 60mm. That gives it a very similar feel pedaling and pumping, but a little more depth landing jumps. Fork is a bit more...

Ditto. Got a little bit of scuffing from the old LED display. Doesn't bother me though since a) the green CC has a black stripe there so it doesn't show up much and b) I scratch up my frames regardless.

Dropset 3 is correct. I have one on 3 different SC bikes. Are you sure that's what you have?

    2024 Santa Cruz Heckler SL

If anyone in the US is looking to try out a Cascade Link for their HSL, I've decided to sell mine. Mostly because I'm trying to get my Vala and HSL to feel more different. Send a PM if interested, otherwise it's up on PB Classifieds.

That's normal. Mine looks like that. It's just where the 2 halves of the frame mold butted up against each other.

Looks totally wrong. I can't tell if it's a bad bearing or the cup in the frame is oversized. The Chris King headset I got on mine doesn't do that. I'd take it back to the shop and ask them to dry fit another headset bearing in it. If it still moves contact Santa Cruz.
