Less than 20kg full power E for my short AF wife.

Levo R. An article from the site: https://www.emtbforums.com/ams/specialized-levo-r-we-rode-it-heres-what-you-need-to-know.223/ Look at the weight (Sworks). A Comp Carbon can be taken to this level, and if being a light person, tires can have light casing, and wheels can be made really light...

Do I really need more than 85nm as a heavy rider

Shimano is doing their thing and should release a new motor "soon". I would definitely stay away from EP801, and steer towards Bosch, or if you find a nice ebike with Mahle or Maxton. Hope TQ releases a 85Nm/100N - maitaining their size and noise

New YT Decoy X Avinox Lanched

4.5k for an ebike with the popular motor, that most folks rave about, but mostly never rode one! The entry level seems nicely priced, geo is on the spot, and suspension travel is 5☆ for what I use! It's a shame YT don't offer this bike in Carbon, possibly taking around 1kg to 1.5kg from the...

    Schwalbe Radial tyre selector

It recommended my actual front tire - MM, but recommended Eddy Current on the back. Run that last year - Summer / Sunny / Dusty / Rocks & Hardpack. Yes it makes sense.... however, from someone who rode DHR2 DD before, I felt that Eddy Currents are a bit behind on grip, and hope the simulator...

    Avinox M2s rattle

Any gear has backlash to work properly. Having noise from the motor, due to backlash is unavoiable, and people should start to get used to it, unless they're willing to accept more weight for noise attenuation cases, or belt/chain driven mechaniscs, which would make motors even bigger. Any...

🚴 Why Don't You Ride to Work or for Everyday Commitments?

Commute in Lisbon, with all things associated: -Cobble roads -Tram rails -Holes and craters So no, it's not that friendly... So I like the Brompton, but wouldn't advice to anyone new to biking and being at Lisbon. But I find Scooters much better in all the commute. No need for taking trains -...

    4th derailleur in 14 month

This was my 3rd RD on this ebike. Moved away from SGS (Long Cage) and started using GS (medium cage), and since then, zero problems (knok on wood). I always found RD cages to close to the ground, when using dish plate sixe cassete cogs and 27.5 wheels. Maybe it's time to bring back the 3...

🚴 Why Don't You Ride to Work or for Everyday Commitments?

if you raced bikes, you should understand what I meant. I own a Brompton, and for me, it's one of the best commuters out there. I won't or even think about using any of my other bikes (be it road bike, trail, enduro, road, ebike) as a commuter for several reasons: - It has specific parts, that...

🚴 Why Don't You Ride to Work or for Everyday Commitments?

This is an eMTB forum. Really, who cares about commute? Even if I was willing to ride 50km each way.... I woudn't swap tires for road use, nor will I ride my super soft/soft tires on tarmac! Commute = Commuter ebike EMTB = Trails Horses for courses!
