I’m 178 cm on a large ‘23 Wild. I am happy I went with the large. My last bike had 475 reach. I felt the difference for a few rides but adapted quickly. No regrets.
Sounds like you whipped the bar pretty good on impact. Also looks like the weakest link let go. I would order the new piece and move on. Obviously make sure everything is straight and not damaged…
I had a get-off and the bar rotated right past the “stopper”. No damage done though.
You know what...
Interesting that you find it top heavy.
The frame is definitely stiff, but I don’t find it overly so. I did have to pay attention to my fork and tire air pressure. That said, I’ve found my happy place and love that frame is stiff, as it allows one to really throw it into stuff. It holds a line...
Very nice. Going the coil route soon, as well. My X2 already blew up once and I’m not into 3 week turnaround repair times from Fox. Also, it costs $150 CAD to rebuild rather than wait for warranty.
Yep sure did. We’ll see if these are any different. I have to check them once in a while - not the end of the world. But ya, the stock cranks loved to fall off.
Stoked for you. Yep it’s such a good bike. I found it took me a few rides to get used to the geo (mostly wheelbase). Once I had the fast uphill cornering thing dialled, I really began to acclimate.
Now I find it surprisingly versatile though it LOVES the steep and deep.
Same rear brake issue here. I’ve also used a zip tie until I can deal with that properly.
My only rattle is the finned XT pads. Have some purple Galfer pads coming.
