Yes if you replace under warranty they send you the correct chromoly steel one
But replace the axle as well as it snaps or wears through in some cases
It’s covered on here somewhere
Yes that’s what I use. Screwfix do similar. Just safety glasses designed to go over glasses. No issues and cheap. I don’t see the sense in paying out for stuff that will get scratched easily and covered on muck.
And I can’t help think the op needs a better optician that’s not ripping him off...
Hi
How do you insure your emtb? If it all?
I’m finding house insurance either covers e bikes or not at all. And if they do cover it’s £600 more expensive
But we only looked at 2 house insurers
Bike specific looks about £180 pa but what’s covered is not so clear and varies widely
Any...
If you have Eurosport they had the live coverage ( not actually live I don’t think?) full men’s final so far, with great picture quality and I think they repeat it through the week so you might still catch it.
The last 10 riders is where it hots up. So pleased for BK and the two Irish boys the...
Hi Allan
As others say the ep8 is not any more unreliable than any other motor imo. It’s just that these bikes are so expensive for what they are people do get annoyed when they break and rightly so. The issue then becomes time relevant and that’s where shimano have struggled with supply issues...
You’re aware the ep8 has a rattle built in? They all do it. Noticeable free wheeling at speed over small bumps will bring it out, adding extra mass of the extender….. would that make it more pronounced perhaps ?
If you are aware please ignore this
No experience with the extender although I...
You don’t want that alloy shaft, it should be chromoly steel as the replacement free hub is. There’s numerous people have had the shaft snap or wear through
Here’s the steel shaft part number (edit, again, posted so many times I’ve forgotten where😄) they supplied under warranty next to the...
The trip computer speed and range figures will no longer be accurate for the user, and possibly be visible on diags history if they look closely enough with an experienced eye
But I would not say impossible
Shimano ep801 and 601 (23models) owners groups on fb are seeing reports of instant...
Can they make the can, and I guess the piston, half a mm smaller so it does not rub the x2 sticker off on the top frame rail on the orbea rise? Might be more on small medium and large models
No? Oh ok then
They’ll be above the limit on all but the longest climbs.
Depends how well your bike pedals above the limit? If it’s got road tyres pumped up to burst and a big chain wheel….. maybe
Bye bye derailleurs, cassettes, chains, cables, shifters, lubricants, fiddling with barrel adjusters and stop screws and frayed cables and grass and weeds and sticks getting caught and smashing Derailleurs off and chain rattle and chain guides and clacking cracking changes and cleaning bits out...
Just be polite. Trouble is even that can get a rude response from some women. Held a shop door open for somebody behind me once, did not notice who or what, only to be thanked with…. I don’t f’ing need you to hold a f’ing door for me. …imagine what she’d say if I let it close in her face. But...
Don’t see the point in tubeless as such but do see the benefit of the cushcore element. But they are expensive and are designed around downhill racing and stopping pinch flats mostly? Ive never had a pinch flat but I do get a lot of punctures from thorns. In fact it’s always bloody thorns from...
Dont we all 😀
Mines been fine to be fair fingers crossed touch wood do a dance.
They all have their failures
Brose, two Levo in our group. 5 motors between them, both now have silly glitches that still won’t clear.
Mate in another group. Bosch spent lore time in the shop than in the owners...
There is no way to use an impact and I don’t agree with your second point in this application tbh. The axle with the slots in the end is aluminium and brittle. Wacking it as suggested is far more likely to bust the shoulders off the slots on the axle or worse.
But better to be aware for others...
Yours being h15 mine h30
Some h15 got the same Chinese Chosen hubs due to supply issues. Check the specs I guess ? Certainly true of the h30. Ask them for support on procedures for replacing the axle and they send you pictures of a Shimano cup n cone loose bearing hub. Even though chosen hubs...
