How much difference does "better" suspension actually make?

Suspension is probably the best thing to upgrade. Although, I'd say that it isn't the biggest deal if you're fairly new to the sport. It will feel better, no doubt. Question is will the cost benefit you? Once you're actively looking for certain characteristics in your suspension platform you'll...

Heckler SL / Fazua Ride 60

    1. "ramp up come on strong even with a lower level of assist and the ramp up all the way down on smooth?" <-- This is with the ramp up all the way down in the app. Does the Fazua Toolbox settings override anything the app tries to set? I think it may have something to do with the app not being...

Heckler SL / Fazua Ride 60

Just had this built and it's been amazing but I'm curious if anyone else who has a ride 60 feels the ramp up come on strong even with a lower level of assist and the ramp up all the way down on smooth? I also get some clicking in the motor when it engages if I backpedal and then start pedaling...

    Settings between different stroke lengths

Well yeah, like I said up top. A lot of it comes down to personal preference and kinematics. That I fully understand, I know how to set up my bike. I was more interested in the engineering and science behind it. The more you understand the more informed decisions you can make. =)

    Settings between different stroke lengths

No doubt it is more plush and forgiving but the adjustments set the speed of the compressions and rebounding. The question is if the amount of force needed to set the level at which the low speed compression and high speed compression/rebound circuits are the same. It doesn't really show us this...

    Settings between different stroke lengths

Have a quest for any of those suspension experts out there. Do your settings translate to different stroke lengths or does the volume effect them massively? I have my downhill bike custom tuned and my (200m) Float X2 settings are LSC/HSC - 13/12 LSR/HSR - 9/13 Do those settings translate on a...

Levo Gen 2 Which Coil Shocks Are Supported on Turbo Levo?

Is there any word on what coils are compatible with the 2023 Levo SL? I'm assuming it falls inline with the 23 Stumpjumper evo? The linkage is different than the Levo and previous gen SL's. Looking at purchasing an 2023 Levo SL S-works in the coming months and any info would be greatly appreciated.

What tyres? The Ultimate Tyre Thread

Sure but brand to brand is still comparable in performance and feel compared to similar competing models. It is very much a personal preference but tire compounds and treads are make for specific conditions.. so you can at least take advice on what they are designed for...

What tyres? The Ultimate Tyre Thread

Awesome. I'm in socal so everything is loose over hardpack. I don't think I'll have any issues with it. I ordered it on sale for 65 bucks! 29"x2.6 Enduro Soft! (Kryp Re) The Argotal was catching every single damn rock edge it could find. It looks like it would be great in loam though.

What tyres? The Ultimate Tyre Thread

Yeah I think the fronts can be used more often in the back than the reverse. I just want to make sure the cornering won't be vague or lose grip because of the spacing. I heard on one of Bernard Kerrs video he was gonna run the Kryptotal rear on the front... So I know It's possible, I don't know...

What tyres? The Ultimate Tyre Thread

Has anyone ran the Kryptotal Re as a front tire? They don't offer the front in a 2.6.. I've tried the Argotal but it's currently out of stock and I also had a problem with the ultra aggressive side knobs catching rocks. I know a lot of people, including myself, have ran the DHR as a front...

    Flat and Clipless shoe insoles

Dude, everytime I pull the thing out I ask myself that SAME question.... lol That being said, riding a bike is actually pretty hard on your feet, mtb much much more so. I'd be interested in the results you get from throwing in some superfeet into your shoes. Let me know if you end up upgrading...

    Weight gain from EMTB

just giving my personal experience with my emtb man. I was on my trail bike coming off my injury first and I found that It wasn't really helping all that much and was harder on me physically painwise. Being that before my injury I played soccer, baseball, surfed, mtbed, and worked as an...

First ride on the Continentals and holy shit are they good. Went from DHR2 F/R 2.8 maxterra + CC+ to 27.5 x 2.6 Argotal (soft enduro) and 27.5 x 2.6 Kryptotal DC (enduro) with CC+ 2019 Levo 170mm Lyrik running 27.5 front & rear on high. Definitely recommend!!!!

    Flat and Clipless shoe insoles

Anyone else decide they would put in some nice insoles after purchasing 100+ dollar MTB shoes? Put some Dr. Scholl's active insoles in my Stamp Boa's and they transformed the shoe into what it should feel like. Also provides a bit of dampening to your feet and has helped with any numbness from...

Lightweight vs full power eMTB - Anyone experienced with both?

No doubt. I ride greer, skypark, etc a lot which is why I want a 30lb bike. The 2023 carbon I believe is 34lbs now... incredible lol. I use the Levo for pretty much anything else like vail, daley, black mt, etc. or should I say "I will".. I use it for everything right now and it still performs...

Lightweight vs full power eMTB - Anyone experienced with both?

Fair enough, I guess I just meant that range of trail bikes and used them as examples. I guess that's not really a great question though considering the different suspension systems and designs. Lol brain sharted... Are you riding the Rise in it's original configuration or have you do done...
