Two weeks ago I went on my first E-MTB powered antelope hunt in north central Nevada (Lander County). With a great rifle and scope and poor shooting I missed FOUR antelope. Aaaarrrggghhh! Turns out I had the wrong ballistic hold-overs taped inside my scope cap. Anyway, all else went swimmingly...
Out trail riding with my E-Cells 2 wheel drive, 2 battery E-MTB today and when I returned to my car to put the bike on the rack I noticed the rear battery that fits under the rack was MISSING! I must not have checked to see if it was secured.
I rode back over my route and could not...

I bought a "JEEP" of an EMTB for hunting (E-CELLS Super Monarch Crown) with two batteries that powers its two hub motors. To be able to stay in the field hunting or exploring old Nevada mining ghost towns I needed a way to charge the bike.
Rejecting a small Honda gas generator was easy. I didn't...
I keep reading about this supposed e-mtb dealer surplus but I've been waiting... and waiting since late December to get my new E-CELLS Super Monarch Crown e-mtb and now I finally get word the it is "on the ship" and will be ready for pickup in late February. The company HQ is only 50 miles away...
My bike's company, E-CELLS, says they asked BAFANG to make 750 watt, 52 volt motors for my 2 wheel drive hunting bike. Are there any other e-bikes using hub motors this powerful (52 volts)?
To run these hub motors are two large batteries. The down tube battery is 52V, 17.5 ah. The rear rack...

It has torque sensing for smooth motor assistance.
At just over $5,100. with Nevada state sales tax and a introductory $1,000...
Do any of you use your E-MTBs for backcountry camping?
IF I ever can take delivery on my E-CELLS Super Monarch Crown 2 wheel drive, 2 battery dual suspension hunting bike I will also use it for backcountry bike camping. It was to be delivered late Dec. 2022, then mid Jan. 2023, now mid Feb...
Most of us with e-bikes have likely read or heard about the frantic search automakers are undertaking currently to make "solid state' batteries for their vehicles. Japanese makers are underwriting Panasonic, Korean Hyundai/Kia with Samsung and VW/Porsche/Audi with an American company.
Q: Will...
I'm getting a hunting E-MTB for hunting with 2 wheel drive and therefore 2 batteries. The one on the down tube (52 V, 17.5 Ah) is about 16 inches long (40 cm.)and the rear battery under the rack (52 V, 14 Ah0 is a flat rectangular battery about 12 inches (13.5 cm.)
I found a 4.5 mm thick...
I bought 1 UP aluminum bike rack at the whispered suggestion of a bike mechanic (whose shop did not carry this brand).
I got the strongest model, the 2" Super Duty Single for a 2" trailer hitch. The customer service guy said it's max weight limit was 75 pounds based on the swivel bolt strength...
Although I'm new to this forum I feel that a decent percent of e-mbt users may want to get information and feedback on e-MBT camping and/or hunting.
Therefore... I propose a new sub forum on E-MBT CAMPING.
Subjects like battery recharging in the wild or at a car, lightweight camping gear, etc...
DAYMN! It is expensive to charge e-mbts in the field, away from 120 volt current.
OPTIONS:
1.) Solar Panels & "Solar Generators"/Li-ion or Li-Fe Phosphorus batteries.
2.) ICE generators like Honda makes for example.
A Honda generator will cost at least $1,000.+ and the solar panel/battery...
Getting my 1st EMTB in a few weeks. I ordered an E-Cells Monarch and it will be in around mid December. E-Cells are 2 wheel drive, 3 batteries and dual suspension with all components in the upper mid grade level. It's also nice that the main office for E-Cells is only about 55 miles from my...
