The Fidlock mount for the range extender (RE) does NOT work on a small EXe frame. The top of the RE pushes against the bottom of the top tube, pushing the RE cockeyed against the top engagement point of the mount, using it as a fulcrum, and away from the bottom engagement point of the mount...
I did everything correctly per manual and videos. There's no B or limit screw adjustment on the T-type. Everything seems to work fine, including the actual shifting, except for this phenomenon.
I upgraded my stock Fuel 9.7 to an SRAM GX T-type transmission. I upgraded the following and torqued everything to spec.

Cassette
Derailleur
Chain

Thanks. I had to search through the article to find out what it is. I want to consider it but I can't find much information on installation. I installed a SRAM AXS T-type on my Trek Fuel EXe.
