Im mostly irritated that its not possible to have the displayed spec on the bike. on a 9.8 for example.
It can be ok if it a 1000 1200 Euro cost reduction but otherwise the bike is not woth its price.
Understand the problem, as Shiman and others will not cover up for the corona closedown but...

We ordered three bikes in late june 2022. One yellow 9.8 XT and two Blue 9.8 XT.
Blue have now prel delivery end Januray 2023 and yellow is June 2023!!!

A 300 W continous power is nor rad legal in most EU countries. 250 w is the limit so they have likely just updated the text on the website to be more specific. Its allways been 300 w peak.
They have made changes in the geometrie. Seat tube have a slightly diffrent angel. Messure the frames and see.
Its a produktion tollerance change.. But anyhow, your clearens with the old frame is not enought eider.
And X2 is not realy meant to be on an E bike. Also I guess you retuned the...
I see, I will ask my dealer how this will be handled. if the bike shows up with the wrong parts. Maybe I'm not so interested in a bike that I have to rebuild.

Yes, that can be the case but it's a to big spec difference, If I need to rebuild almost half the bike to get the spec I want I rather buy another bike.

Have noticed that different 9.8 XT bikes shows up with different specs on them. I have now looked at three different exe 9.8 XT
Trek specifies the 9.8 xt with Carbon crankarms and XT M81 brakes and full XT powertrain
One bike 9.8 Xt had alucrankarms, and Sram code...
Have these bults been fatigue and deformation tested so that they dont onform or break ?
Have seen many titanium upgrade bolts that breaks in diffrent ways .
