I will probably continue to wait as i like my regular bikes as it is. That pivot shuttle was really nice but only 30 or 40 miles and 3k feet is not gonna work, especially for the big money.
Seems like a nice idea, a lighter bike without unnecessary power. But what would really set it apart is decidedly more range than its competitors which seems like it could be accomplished with a slight weight penalty given the compactness of the 250 w battery.
Sometimes i get thorns that release air and sealant in a stream that takes a few minutes to seal. It can require inflation or several inflations before it seals. So i carry a really small pump and a tube just in case. I think sealant stops working correctly after a few months so i try to replace...
would this work ? 13 cm/5 in high , 50 / 19 L and 6 / 2.4 wide. It is a top tube pack that goes under the top tube which wouldn't work on the spec BUT if you flipped it over and mounted it ontop of the top tube. I know it's not ideal but perhaps an alternative to a backpack...
If you let it go further it may require new cassette and ring. I passed the point of no return on my analog bike, it still shifted well with no vibration but when i tried a new chain it would not mesh smoothly at all. Otoh i can now ride this setup until it starts to skip.
I rode one the other day on singletrack and it was brilliant. It absolutely made big roots, small ledges and other trail features easier to navigate faster. What was particularly odd to me as a an ebike newbie was it's abilty to get over stuff while going up hill.I did about 30 miles and 2k...
I bought a high end lezyne floor pump for tubeless with digital gauge, nice pump but the gauge is off 2 psi. So i bought a topeak digital gague for presta valve and it is spot on. Not cordless electric but does the trick.
I have a newer yakima rack that should be up to the task, however i may have to take up weight lifting so i can get a 50 lbs bike on the roof of my hatchback
