So have been having some creaking/knocking sounding like its coming from the headset on my "21" Stereo 160.
Re-greased and bearings seem ok, made no difference.
Just taken it right apart and noticed where the plastic compression ring goes onto the steerer tube on the top bearing, its VERY...
So was getting some creaking from the head set area on my "22 Cube Stereo 160.
I took the forks off, and the lower bearing was very much expired, so knocked the cup out of the carbon frame, fitted a new bearing and knocked the cup back in.
I greased the cup with normal assembly grease.
But...
So having done 1500 miles in 6 months on my Cube Stereo 160, replaced 4 chains at 25%.
I decided on the last change that it will be the last chain for the cassette, and will run it to death, then replace the chain/cassette/chain ring.
Its now between 75% and 1.0% on my chain checker.

So got the Cube Stereo 160 out earlier for a quick ride, yes i couldn't be bothered to clean it last ride!
And noticed something didn't look right at the bottom suspension bolt............:eek:
My last ride i was flying down Cwmcarn, and if that bolt had come out i don't think it would have...
So i came off 2 weeks ago at FOD, going down Sheep Skull. It was very wet and slippery, my front wheel hit one of the large roots and instantly went down hard!

Hey guys, i have a 2022 Cube Stereo 160 SL, i have noticed recently a bit of squeeking/clicking coming from my rear suspension.
Ive only had it since the middle of August, but have put 700 miles on it already! (its been a bit addictive!)
I assumed it was dirt on the joints, so took it all...
Have just taken delivery of a Cube Stereo 160 SL 750, and am putting it together.
I notice when i spin the rear wheel there is a significant amount of wobble? the front spins dead straight.
Is this normal?, or is my rear wheel bent?
