So, now that I have had this bike for a couple weeks I can now say with confidence it is a great bike. Took it to BPW yesterday and managed 4 full runs on one battery which I think is acceptable (I may have made it up for a 5th but was tired by then anyway).

You can change the motor settings via the e-tube phone app. The default setting gives boost the highest power level and the trail setting the lowest, after eco. The explorer mode gives trail a bit more power and boost a bit less power which feels spot on.

ps. I was unhappy with the sommets power in trail mode - I changed it to explorer mode and its way better now - its exactly what I was hoping an e-bike would be. Looking forward to testing it out on BPW now :)
£30 seems a little low. When I got my whyte from the LBS one of the stickers on the frame was very slightly crinkled (no paint damage) and the chap knocked £50 off the bike straight away, and that was after a generous discount to start with
so first proper ride done - the thing descends like a beast which is great.
Less great are 2 things:
* The motor seems pretty noisy
* When going up slightly inclined fireroads unless you have it in boost mode it feels like the motor is giving very little assistance - it even feels like there...
interestingly just found that the 150 BX dropper post is too long in the medium frame if you are 5'10 such as myself - I wouldn't go quite low enough to be comfortable on - I assume this would be the same on a large frame?
Are there any 150mm dropper posts with a shorter base?
Has anyone tried changing the seatpost yet?
I didn't realise the M bike only came with a 120mm dropper so have got a 170mm arriving today. It is the same brand of post so hoping it'll just be a case of gently pulling the old one out. Attaching the cable to the new one and popping it in?
Managed to get out on the bike today. 3000ft of climbing and battery lasted. just. Needs some tweaks but so far it rides nicely. Need to try it out on some more jumpy stuff now.
One question: is there another low batter warning after you get to the last bar so you know it’s really about to die?

I think the medium was the right size to go for but will decide tomorrow when on a proper trail.

Ah thanks - The thing I have noticed is that the large sommet seat tube is nearly 3 cm longer than my large T-130, in which my dropper post is already nearly as low as it can go. I'm not being silly with this as I'm assuming BB height is irrelevant for this measurement?

Hmm, it’s hard to compare the t130 and the sommet as they are quite different. The medium sommet seems to fit in between the t130 and my medium cotic Solaris so will probably go for that. Doesn’t look like a cramped bike even in medium.
