Fuel EXe Official Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

Sure did, had it out a few times. I have had my bike since August last year so maybe they have since changed to the adjustment bolts. Would be great if anyone could post a picture of them so I can confirm. I am currently away on business but will post a picture of my setup when I get back for...

My 9.8xt does not have compensation screws, it has machined black aluminium inserts that are not adjustable.

Soft jaws in vise, rock back and forth while pulling up on the wheel. Takes some doing but it will eventually get there. Be mindful you don't smack yourself in the nose when it lets go 😉

Anyone know of a chainring bash guard that is compatible with the exe? Looks like the chain guide is designed specifically for this bike.

One positive is that all the upgrades over the 9.7 only set you back $1600 which is pretty good value. My positive is that I get to have 160mm cranks which suits my height and riding style better :) There is always a silver lining.

Fuel EXe Official Trek Fuel EXe Megathread!

9.8 buyers beware! Some of these bikes, mine included, have been fitted with the much lower spec and price alloy cranks in lieu of the carbon cranks listed in the spec sheet. The store was unaware of this and said Trek headquarters stated that there was a long lead time associated with the...
