I went for a short ride this morning along the South Downs Way at Beacon hill
Now I had heard about this sleeping fairy sometime last year, but didnt know where she was
To my surprise I stumbled across her, I stroked her wings and went on my way with a smile on my face
To be honest, I havnt had much bad feeling from riding an ebike. Of course there has been a few small minded people but most of the 'P' taking is done in jest and I respond in kind. My main riding buddy is younger and rides a conventional bike and he loves it and wouldnt have an ebike but thats...
I built one when I was 15, although you would not recognize it as an ebike of today.
I basicly welded some brackets to a normal bike to take an old car battery and a Morris Minor starter motor.
It wasnt long before the motor burnt out but was fun at the time with a range measured in yards, not...
Not a problem on the Haibike or Giant as thhey are suposed to be water resistant, and are treated with a little silicone grease.
But I have more trouble getting the car to do 80mph when loaded with bikes on top, Its only a Dacia Stepway. :ROFLMAO:

I will always carry a spare tube and pump with me now.
My dad told me about stuffing a tire with grass 40 odd years ago, and I even tried it it once, (didnt work for me)
I got the missus to drop me and the bike off at Cocking with the intention of going west along the South Downs Way to meet up with her at Queen Elizabeth Country Park, and do a couple of laps of the blue trail, However things didn't go according to plan. 3.5 miles into it there is a good steep...
I always lube as part of my clean up routine whilst at home on the stand
I dont lube when im out, as to much lube can gum things up and lead to poor gear changes.
It appears I may have made the wrong decision.
I will swap them over before I go out at the weekend
Not worried by the extra drag as I only generally use 50% battery per outing
This however I dont want to put to the test
