Shimano Introduces New 'Linkglide' Drivetrain Technology with Bold Longevity Claims

I'm not surprised Shimano have gone down this route after owning their latest SLX 12sp groupset. It is one of the worst feeling drivetrains I've ever owned, and I broke a chain in the first 70k's.

    Apple Air Tag, cheap protection

Yeah its a very interesting idea to try. There needs to be a well hidden place to store the tag, that also isn't restricting the Bluetooth range. its also probably only a good solution in regions where apple devices are prevalent...but that probably aligns well with ebikes.

Anyone Ridden Both an Levo SL and Orbea Rise? Looking for Power Comparison

Francis has been a big fan of the Turbo Levo and the Levo SL for years. He has not just reviewed both, but owned both as his personal bikes. I guess that's why he can be so definitive.

Levo Gen 2 2021 Turbo Levo shifting/gear issues

For what its worth, I found my SLX chain cracked in many places on my 21 LEVO, after only just over 100km and being careful with my shifts. I found the b adjustment out. But even with a new chain, and B adjustment correct the shifting still feels meh.

Levo Gen 2 2021 Turbo Levo Owners Thread

I may be imagining it, but my bike feels more torquey and the power kicks in quicker after I got it back form the shop last week and they updated the firmware to the latest version. Anyone else notice this? It had been two weeks since I'd ridden the bike so could just be my perception...

Levo Gen 2 2021 Turbo Levo Owners Thread

I love that blue colour. I am also unimpressed by the SLX shifting and brakes. The shifting seems a bit slow compared to other 11sp and 12sp drive trains I've tried, and the brakes whilst powerful, make a bit of noise and suffer from the ol' inconsistent bite point.

Levo Gen 2 2021 Turbo Levo Owners Thread

Hey All, I have about 150km's on my 2021 Levo and have an experience to offer for those on a Small or Medium sized frame (these sizes come with a 40mm stem, as opposed to 50mm on the larger sizes). After getting the bike and doing one ride I trimmed the bars to 750mm, which has been my...

Yes! I made sure I got that out of the way before I focused on the Levo. I knew if I didn't sort that first I would forget in all the excitement/anxiety!

Levo Gen 2 2021 Turbo Levo Owners Thread

I swore the Levo's were off my short list after looking at the price compared to other bikes, and seeing a lot of talk on the internet about the reliability of the motor but.... I walked into a Specialized store to buy my son a RipRock 20 for his birthday, and they had the yellow 2021 Levo and...

Its good to see the Polini is user serviceable and sell spare parts. Used eBikes would be a lot more attractive to me if I new I could replace broken motor components.

Just got my 2021 trek rail (UK Dartmoor)

Thank Woody. I think you still get a 10% or 15% discount on trek bikes if you have BUPA health insurance. Thought i'd mention it in case your a member.

Hi Woody, How much is it selling for here in Aus? I can't see the new models on the Trek website yet. Cheers, Ivan.

Rail 7 Wins Best Budget eMTB!

My last too bikes have been Treks, and the current one is a Remedy which I imagine is quite similar in geometry and feel to the rail. I am not a fan of the Reaktiv shock, and it is enough to put me off buying another Trek that has that Technology. The ReaKtiv shocks are either setup with too...

    Fox 34 rhythms flex?

The 36 is significantly stiffer than the 34. A stiffer fork inspires confidence in rough or steep terrain, and hard cornering and braking. IMO, the 34 is not the right fork for any trail bike >=140mm. This is one of the major turn-offs of the new Levo SL. Forks are not cheap to upgrade...
