No need to get personal?
The initial post set the tone for this.
As others have pointed out, these are electric motorbikes, not bicycles.
At a price of NZ$8000 they are more expensive than a commuter ebike but considerably cheaper then eMTB's
Not that it matters since they don't compete with...
Ok. Some compromise is allowed for mokopuna (grand children)
A house can get too quiet without some yard apes.
Without them you may even have to talk to your wife :)
Whaaaaaat? It is obvious that you have already massively compromised. WTF is a christmas tree (and a fake one at that) doing messing up an otherwise nice workshop.
I used to have my hands a bit in from the ends of the grip. I have since modified my cockpit (brakes levers etc) so that my hands are right on the outside edge of the grips. I did this because I suffered quite a bit of bodily damage after clipping a large rock with my left grip. I did not know...
I took my E160 down to Taranaki.
Here it is on Crash Gordon trail Lake Mangamahoe.
I didn't crash despite the trail name and slippery winter conditions.

I put a mucky nutz mudguard on to the front of my new Whyte E160s.
Not particularly important over summer in Rotorua but I was getting ahead of the game for a change.
It was all fine until I put my bike on to the rack on my friends vehicle which is a vertical one with wheel loops to hold the...
Ghetto double barrel
One tiny bottle is not of any use to me.
I have been using a 3 litre camelbak.
I wanted to try getting rid of the camelbak and so I made a prototype double bottle cage.
The "standard" size bottles overhang the big fat ebike downtube by about 24mm each side.
I moved them up...
We had a bit of rain today but no where near enough. A lot of trails are dusty enough to have less traction than normal. I think some rain is forecast but the trails still need plenty. Unless you are made of sugar, I wouldn't worry about rain. The forest loop is a nice ride. I prefer to come...
I live in Rotorua which is a great place for mountain bikes with over 200 km of single track that is easily accessible.
I bought a Whyte E160s in late November 2021.
This is my first e-bike but I have had muscle only bikes for years.
