Levo Gen 2 Levo Cane Creek DB air CS

Also works really well on the earlier Levo. Putting the arguments for or against remotes aside and despite what CC say, can be done. I find I use it more than I thought I would.

Anyone tried hope cranks on a 2018 Levo

    Thanks for that.

Anyone tried hope cranks on a 2018 Levo

Hi I have damaged the praxis cranks on my 2018 Levo, has anyone tried Hope e-cranks. I see their photos show them on a newer Levo not sure if the q factors are the same. Any pointers appreciated.

Which shock for 2018 Levo ?

Hi I see you haven’t had any takers yet. If you don’t want to go coil you could look at the Cane Creek DB air, TF tuned set it up for me. I’m a 100kg plus rider and it works a treat. I have it set at 190 psi with one full volume reducing band. I mainly trail ride although I have taken it down...

Revelation Fork on the Turbo Levo

Hi Barry fair enough however your total spend could be as little as £100 if you sell your forks on. Whichever way you choose it’s worth upgrading, the revelation chassis is decent starting point.

Revelation Fork on the Turbo Levo

Hi Barry, yes I did get it upgraded, by TF tuned. Charger 2 damper and a Vorsprung Luftkappe on the other side. It made a big difference and similar or slightly better spec than a 2108 Pike. Funny you should bring this up now as I was recently offered a Fox 36 at a really good price which I will...

For those who upgraded their brakes to Shimano

I believe so my levo is a 18 comp with alloy rear triangle and revelation forks and 180 post mounts. The only reason for ditching the standard adapters is I went 203mm rotors from 200mm. As others have stated you could use 1.5mm washers to achieve the same result. I just wanted to do the job neatly.

For those who upgraded their brakes to Shimano

Hi jxj, the Shimano adapters are, front - SMMA90F203PPM and rear - SMMAF203PP. Readily available I got mine from SJS cycles and they came complete with bolts, spacers and washers. Hope this helps.

    Post your modded Levo’s!

Talking of decals I went a bit mad over Christmas, probably need to get out and ride more.

For those who upgraded their brakes to Shimano

Hi As ccrdave said, I also upgraded to XT four pot. I went the 203mm rotor so used Shimano adapters. As far as rerouting, apart from disconnecting the hose from the rear lever to reroute through the frame all I had to do extra was take the battery out upper left motor cover and one securing...

    Levo 2018 brake upgrade

Hi Rip7 good choice with the BMW Levo. The SRAM brakes were really starting to annoy me as well. I tried Swissstop green pads which were a little better. What with the noise and lack of clearance pad to rotor, so always rubbing. I went XT twin piston. Overall much better no rubbing, very little...

Calling those that are running 29" on their Turbo Levo

Hi I just took the vernier to the rim and tyre, from edge of rim to top of knobs is 58mm or 57.79 if you want it exactly so almost the same as you have. Something else is different, it can only be where the rear triangle meets the frame it must differ slightly? Somewhere on here, I think in the...

Calling those that are running 29" on their Turbo Levo

Hi Karsten, bit of a puzzler, I’m struggling to believe 5mm internal width will make the difference you need. Could it be the tyre there is something about Maxxis wide trail which is what I have on now does that give a flatter profile? Do you have a DHF or DHR to try or borrow one. Would be...

Calling those that are running 29" on their Turbo Levo

Not sure about frame/rear triangle differences, mines all alloy. I’ve gone 29er almost from the start. Running DT Swiss EX511 30mm rims and minion DHF 2.5 front and rear 22psi out back no clearance issues.

Levo weight loss 27.5 to 29er

My choice of cassette is neither here nor there. The reason for the post was to show the weights in detail. I was not expecting to save weight by going 29er and that you could shed nigh on half a kilo just by going tubeless. I didn’t save weight in the wheels as I went for strength and stayed...

Levo weight loss 27.5 to 29er

I converted to 29er some while ago with some fairly basic Roval Traverse rims from a 2019 stumpjumper. For me 29er really works although as a heavyweight I really need stronger wheels. So have gone DT swiss EX511 rims and Hope pro 4 hubs. What really surprised me was the weight saving, getting...

    Saint/Zee/XT four pot upgrade

Hi I’m looking to upgrade the brakes, could someone who has post a photo so I can see the setup and work out which adapters to use. There seems to be a couple of differing ways to mount the calipers. Also do the levers sit in a different position to the SRAM ones, thanks.

    Drilling holes in my Levo!

Hi Mountie one of the documents posted onthis forum has it I think, here you are, 14. Install crankarms. Apply grease to threads and ISIS splines on crankarms, Tighten crankarm bolts to 50 Nm (442 in-lbf) or until they bottom out Important: ensure that right and left crankarms are installed on...

Washing the Levo / Kenevo, battery in or out?

I had the same dilemma, here’s what Specialized UK rider care say: Hi Simon, Thanks for your email, it's always great to hear from riders. It is possible to use a low pressure garden type hose pipe to wash your bike. High pressure jetwash style bike cleaners should be avoided as they can...

    Post your modded Levo’s!

Just got the rear shock fitted so pretty well sorted now. 2018 Comp BMW flavour, XL. Main stuff, Fork - Revelation with Charger 2 damper and Luftkappe. 95kg all up, running one token and 80psi. Shock - Cane Creek DB air and Bike Yolk 2 volume bands, 210psi, other settings if you need them just...
