    Crank falling off

Reading some of the old threads it looks like the cranks will need to be replaced. I have never been able to get a spec list for the bike as it is a special produced for the Italian market. What do I need to know when looking for new cranks? Just which motor they will be used with? In this case...

    Crank falling off

The crank on one side of my son's e Haibike fell off this morning. I took everything apart, cleaned it all well and reassembled it. I didn't have an 8mm hex to put on the torque wrench, I'm not used to bikes but by car standards, 55N is not a lot. the outer 10mm was done up to the required 15N...

Trying to identify headset to buy service kit, Haibike

None of the kits I have found online have very good descriptions but one of them did have open races. As you say will have to strip it and see.

Trying to identify headset to buy service kit, Haibike

The headset on my sons allmtn X2.5 is making an awful clicking sound, I have a feeling he has overtightened it. The clicking gets worse if you tighten it further. I have a feeling it may not have sealed bearings. How do I go about identifying it correctly? Are kits made by other companies?

    recommendations for shift cable brand

The endcaps seem to fail regularly, they break in 2 and the cable and sleeve no longer seat well in their holder on the derailleur.

    recommendations for shift cable brand

I have been using Shimano MTB cables but the plastic doesn't seem to hold up for very long. Any recommendations. More concerned with durability than slickness or weight.

Can anyone suggest an online store where I can buy a 38T chainring for my sons allmtn?

Are the teeth not a different pattern on different chainrings? I'm only guessing but are there wide and narrow chainrings? His is a 11x1 M5100, do I need to specify a width as well?

Can anyone suggest an online store where I can buy a 38T chainring for my sons allmtn?

I'm glad someone else chimed in on that. Where do I get a chainring for £8? I haven't seen one for less than £40.

Can anyone suggest an online store where I can buy a 38T chainring for my sons allmtn?

It's my sons bike, he's 13 and just wants to ride. I don't ride, bad back last 30 years, know nothing about bikes except how expensive it is to keep one going. He often forgets the clutch, but I discovered yesterday the "chain guide" that assists in keeping the chain on the chainring, was set...

Can anyone suggest an online store where I can buy a 38T chainring for my sons allmtn?

I doubt it would be the same. The allmtn 2.5 is a budget model.

Why am I finding it so difficult to find a 38T 11x1 Deore m5100 chainring?

It's a Haibike allmtn 2.5 and the groupset is Deore M5100 11x1. The crank is labelled Haibike. There is no spec because Haibike refuse to tell me and there is nothing on the website for this model. The motor is a Yamaha PM-X2. At first, I assumed the chainring would also be Deore, but when I...

Can anyone suggest an online store where I can buy a 38T chainring for my sons allmtn?

I may have found the chainring, manufactured by FSA. Forgive me if this is a silly question but are FSA good? Might they be the OEM?

Can anyone suggest an online store where I can buy a 38T chainring for my sons allmtn?

I have a feeling that is SRAM and I have no idea if it will fit the Deore groupset/chain on my sons bike.

Why am I finding it so difficult to find a 38T 11x1 Deore m5100 chainring?

There are no identifying numbers, probably on the inside, I have asked Haibike many times for a spec for the bike and they say there isn't one. This means I spend hours searching for the correct parts which because of our location are invariably ordered online. It has 4 point fixing and 10mm...
